PLEASE - Need help with transferring ADR

Pixie dust fell on me and a lovely DISer offered me an ADR for CRT that they can't use - I called DD and they told me I couldn't change it, they would have to cancel and rebook, chances are it would be gone before I could rebook it. I don't want to take the chance and show up at the podium because her credit card would be charged if they asked me for ID. Anyone done this before? I know it's simpler if there is no credit card guarantee, no one asks for ID. Can't remember if they asked for ID or not at CRT, but still can't the chance on someone else's card I don't even know just incase they do. I"ve already told the kids!!!!! My DD will be devestated.

Honest to goodness i do not think they asked me for ID. Just simply the name.............when it comes time for the bill who cares??

My concern being is "just in case they dö" this poor ladies credit card will be charged because she is not there and my children are devestated both by the fact they can't have breakfast in the castle and my DS13 by the embarassment of being questioned and found wanting. I just would like it sorted before I go - or am I just being paranoid????

Are you planning to pay for this meal or use DDP ? If your planning to pay for it why not ask her to call and use your CC and have them bill your card in advance for the meal. Then you know it's paid and she knows it's paid and not on her card and you get the ADR !

You are so clever! Worst case scenario, this would work. I would like to use DDP but in this case if they refuse allowing me in I take the hit as opposed to her taking the hit - that's what I'm really concerned about. Few years back someone sent me meal tickets (can't remember what they were called)before I had even paid for them, just on trust and I think that's what the DIS is all based on - just want to make sure no one gets burned for helping someone else out.
