Please Need an Answer Today-DCP

If I were to accept my dcp offer today and then ended up having to decline it later would make me a restricted rehire? Today is my last day to accept my offer and my boss won't be back for a week (I need to talk to them about the program). I'm nervous about accepting this offer because I have a really good job and I am not sure I will have it when I get back. Got accepted for the Disneyland program for 7 months.

I won't waste your time with 'you should've told your boss sooner.' Is there really no way for you to get in contact with them? I would go ahead and accept, because even if you end up canceling, getting put on restricted-rehire would be better than losing your job.

you were never hired, so you wouldn't be issued any rehire status.

you have a job offer (hiring comes after one accepts an offer) and people accept/decline offers all the time. All companies.

they won't hold anything against you if you decline your offer.
