I changed our ressies in May from WL to Contemporary. Well, I did this without doing my homework first and ended up with a garden wing room. From what I have read, the garden wing rooms seem to lack the "magic" that I was hoping for. I called to see if I could upgrade to a Tower room, but none are available with the discount. Should I call again and book somewhere else, or just stick with it?? Anyone stay in a garden wing recently?? What are your impressions and recommendations??

Well, you do have a dilemma. I do love the CR but only if I can stay in the Tower. I have stayed in the Garden wing and found it to be okay. With that said, I still love the convenience of the CR to the MK (walk or ride monorail). It is a deluxe with all the amenities. I'm just not sure I would spend the $$$ for the Garden wing. JMHO

We had one of the best rooms ever in the Contemporary Garden Wing. The CM, when he found out it was our anniversary, put us in a first floor room, the farthest from the tower, corner, facing the lake. The building to the right of the tower if you are facing the entrance. It was incredible, two views out, the only traffic was on the lake, including watching the paddle wheeler come out and back each morning. There were egrets and herons fishing outside our patio door. Check in early and request one of these rooms. A longer walk to the MK and monorail but worth it. Go for it! One heck of a lot cheaper than the tower.

Thanks for your replies. I guess I shouldn't worry so much, after all we will be at WDW without the kids!! A room is just a place to sleep after all!
