Ok, this is confusing, but here goes:
--6 in our party all over age 10, planning to spend 2 park days.
--We have 7 park hopper tickets already in hand.
--Stubbornly trying to figure out the cheapest way to let everyone park hop for both days. I don't see us headed back anytime soon, if we do, we'll happily buy new Parkhoppers.
--The options I've come up with:
1) At check-in, buy three 1-night, 2-day UPH, $378.00
2) See if the 3-day hopper is still available from Central Fla. Travel, but I'd still have to buy 3 of them, which would leave me with four 1-day hoppers after this visit, $465.00
3) Buy 5 one-day tickets, meaning that one of the two days we'd be limited to one park, $265.00

Any other ideas? Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure what you mean about the 7 day hoppers??

How many 7 day hoppers are you holding??
Only 1 person can use a hopper, Sharing is not allowed.

Your 7-Day Park Hopper® PLUS Ticket entitles you to 7 days* of admission to the following Parks, with the freedom to visit multiple Parks on the same day:
• Magic Kingdom® Park
• Epcot®
• Disney-MGM Studios
• Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park
*Unused days never expire.

With each Park Hopper PLUS, you also receive:
• The flexibility to go from Theme Park to Theme Park on the same day
• Convenient Walt Disney World® transportation -- monorails, ferryboats, and motor coaches

PLUS, a choice of FOUR one-day admissions** to the following:
• Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park
• Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
• Downtown Disney® Pleasure Island
• Disney's Wide World of Sports® complex

These 7 admission days and plusses don't expire.

I *believe* everyone in the party (or at least in 1 room--it's tied to the reservation) must purchase the UPH pass if you elect to go that route. In other words, if there are 4 in the room, all 4 must purchase the pass--couldn't do only 3. I could be wrong on that and someone may post an exception, but that's my understanding. You didn't mention which parks you were planning to visit (or when), but in my opinion, if one is Epcot, and everyone is in agreement, that could very easily be an "all day park" and you would do fine using the one day passes there.

Good luck with whatever you decide and have a great trip!!:D

Tink,
I have seven DIFFERENT passes that are parkhoppers, each with one day on them. So, there's no problem for our first day, everyone can hop.

Localgirl,
I got this from Mousesavers concerning the UPH:

You can also buy UPHs at a higher price when you check in to any official Disney resort. Normally the pass is good from the time you check in to your hotel, until midnight on your last day. However, if you are arriving late on your first day, or leaving early on your last day, there's not much point to paying for the UPH on those days. It might be worth buying at the front desk at check-in because the front desk clerk can "lop off" the first and/or last day of your trip, and can sell you the pass only for those in your party who want one, thus saving you substantial money. (When you buy UPHs in advance, they are applied to the entire length of your stay.)

cat14--Thanks for the info. I knew about being able to lop days off the front and/or back end of the UPHs when purchasing them at the resorts, but previously everything I'd read said the entire party had to have the UPHs. Didn't realize that was also different if the passes were purchased through the resort vs. CRO. Should've checked further...I'm a Mousesavers reader too! Anyway, Deb Wills' site (wdwig) says the same thing. The per day cost of the UPHs would be higher if you're only doing the major parks, but would give you the benefit of park hopping. Also, members of your party holding the UPH could do Disney Quest or Pleasure Island...that could come in handy if you have teens or adults in your group interested in those features after a day in the parks...

Anyway, thanks for setting me straight, and hope you enjoy your trip! :D

I do not know if this is true, but I heard that you can add days to Park Hopper passes that still have days on them. Does anyone know if you can do this?

Shelly,

I've researched this and from what I understand all you can do is apply the value of what's remaining on your ph to a new ph ticket. The problems with this are several:
1) You only get the partial value based on the cost when you bought it
2) You lose any pluses on the old ph
3) You have to buy at least a 4 day ph
