Please list 3 things that made your cruise great!

I'm so glad people wrote more than 3 things!!.....

1) My kids were happy and enjoyed the freedom to meet other people from all over the country and the UK...

2) The clean, well-maintained atmosphere and rooms which were spacious and beautiful.....

3) On each trip, the CMs all over the ship have made it personal and fun!....and the programming is very entertaining.....

4) The ports and excursions were well-run and enjoyable......

5) The beautiful Caribbean Sea is always a delight!

You can't miss....JUST DO IT!!

1. Our wonderful server Rudy, assistant server Bayoki, and head server Nadege. All of them made us & our children feel very special & doted on us for the entire week. They were also personable, which made for a very nice dining experience for us.

2. Our stateroom host Don, who was always there to help open the door for me when I was trying to get both kids away from the pool or the club and down for a nap. He always had a kind word for the children that made them stop their little acting up & smile & be good for me. :)

3. The sail away party and the horn. That was the begining of the most relaxing vacation we have ever been on..even with a 3 & 5 yo.

4. Mickey and Cinderella. Mickey...well, it was all of our first meetings with the mouse. Cinderella...she remembered my kid's names and called out to them by name whenever we saw her on the ship...which was once or twice a day. She made DD trip & year. princess:

My THREE things
1) The ship! The grandeur, the cleanliness, the beauty, the cheery environment.

2) Variety. I can have fun by myself, with my husband AND with the kids. There is something for everyone.

3) THE attitude of others around me.
This includes the crew AND other passengers. Being around others who are grateful and graceful for their vacation and crew who work SO hard to make my vacation nicer.

1. Having them announce our name as we entered the atrium at boarding

2. Nice sized stateroom for a family of 4

3. Wonderful service at the buffet (Topsiders), offering to carry my tray ect.

4. Well done nightly shows

5. Theme nights and rotating dining rooms

6. Couple's massage

7. Rainforest room

8. Palo

9. Our stateroom host did a wonderful job, we all loved the towel animals

10. painting my toe-nails while wearing my robe on our verandah

11. snorkeling at Trunk bay

12. Reading a book in a hammock at Castaway Cay

13. watching some TV and ordering room service before going to sleep every night

1. The Alaunt sailboat charter we took in St. Thomas. We sailed to remote coves of St. John. It was the best swimming, snorkeling, meal and relaxed day of fun I'd ever spent on an excursion before. It was a highlight for our entire family.

2. Getting away from the crowds on the ship and spending the day at the beach on the deserted side of Pinel Island with my family (St. Maarten)

3. Castaway Cay

4. The family friendly/safe entertainment at night

1. Getting to see DD's world and understand why she loves working on the ship so much.

2. Time with family. Mom and Aunt are in their 80s and won't be with us forever.

3. Quality of the ship, crew and entertainment. Cleanliness, friendliness, cheerfullness.

4. Variety of activities.

5. Serenity Bay at CC. May have to do a 3 day Wonder cruise just to go back to CC.

6. Relaxing in the hot tub at Quiet Cove at 11:00pm at night.

7. Mickey's Boat rocking me to sleep each night. I NEVER had trouble sleeping on the ship.

oops that's more than 3...oh well.

Here goes:

The ease of check-in for returning cruisers.

The beauty and grandeur that extends from the terminal to the ship itself.

The amazing staff, especially the servers and children's counselors.

Abundance of food, there is something for everyone- even picky people. I always find something new I love each time and best of all- I'M NOT COOKING!!

The great ship horn!

The adult only areas, especially Palos.

Palos- Brunch, High Tea, Dinner, all awesome. It's my happy place.(Chocolate souffle heaven)

My verandah- coffee in the morning, watching the waves at night.

The Rainforest Room- love those heated tile loungers.

The shows- unreal!

Castaway Cay- the water, the view, and especially THE COOKIE DOUGH SOFT SERVE ICE CREAM!

The ease of debarking- totally painless (except for the sadness of leaving) and quick!

Now, is a DCL cruise inexpensive, No. Are other lines more affordable, yes. Are any other lines going to give you the "Disney" experience and feeling- No.
So while you will spend some money for a DCL cruise, In my honest opinion- the joy I see each member of my family experience is PRICELESS!

I LOVE DCL- 'NUFF SAID.

Melissa: Beautifully put!!! I agree 100%. And as I've told my friends over and over again who try to convince me I can do better -- there is no cruising experience like DCL.

My husband and I were talking last night in fact about ever trying another cruise line. And these were his words exactly "No. I want to stick with Disney until we have done every cruise they have to offer. And then, hopefully, they've have new ports so we can continue." He is not a huge repeat visitor to WDW, but is very devoted to DCL. And I agree totally -- I feel safe, confident and pampered on their ships.
