Me and DFi are going to WDW for three days in October and I would like some suggestions of fun/diffrent things to do at each park. We only have one thing we NEED to do in October, Expedition Everest!!!! We do not need to watch any of the parades or night time shows if there is something better to do at that time.

I have read about a few fun/diffrent things to do here on the DIS.

1.)Go on Splash Mountian during Wishes
2.)Go on Astro Orbitor during Spectro
3.)Ride Test Track at night

Are there any other suggestions of diffrent things to do at certian times?

Looking forward to any suggestions.

Thanks

Any of the outdoor attractions are completely different by night than by day.

Get the Hidden Mickey book. We did that one trip for something different. We knew it'd be busier that trip than others & finding the HMs was a fun way to pass the time. It gives you a new perspective on the Parks too since you absorb so much detail.

Play a round of checkers in front of the Shooting Arcade in Frontierland.

Pull up a rocking chair on one of the Frontierland or Liberty Square porches. People watching is always a good time.

Grab an entertainment schedule for Epcot WS - the bands & acts in each country are amazing. I try to catch Mo'Rockin at least once a trip.

Take your digital camera & shoot pictures to use for wallpaper/screensavers on your computer. Again, it shifts your perspective on what you see at the Parks.

Look for opportunities to take pix of another couple or family for them. It spreads the Pixie Dust & often they will reciprocate by snapping a pix of your group for you. It's hard to have vacation photos where one person is always missing.

Talk to the Cast Members. I love to hear about where they are from, what made them decide to come to Disney, their special experiences...

Ride the launch over to the Poly, WL, Contemporary, whatever. A trip on the Seven Seas Lagoon is Magic all on it's own. At night is beautiful too, when all the resorts are lit up. You might even catch the Electric Water Pageant.

Leota, you made some great suggestions! :thumbsup2

The only I have to add is to ride Thunder Mountain Railroad in Magic Kingdom at night. It's alot of fun because you can't see the track very well, and the bats in the cave look very scary.

Two things that we always like to do is to get a "Dole Whip" from the Magic Kingdom and to ride the boat between Epcot and MGM. The "Dole Whip" is located in AdventureLand, and it is the best thing to get on a really hot day. The boat ride is a relaxing ride between the 2 parks. Another thing to do, is got to Animal Kingdom and do the Kilimanjaro Safari. But, after you finish the Safari, you should do the walking trail to see the wildlife. At MGM Epcot and Animal Kingdom, you should just stop and watch some of their little shows. They sometimes ask for audience volunteers. The shows are entertaining and funny. When someone you know gets picked for the volunteer it really makes the show worth while.

Go canoeing at FW. It is great fun.
Sit on the beach at the Poly and watch the Eleactric Light Parade
Go to the BW and ride a tandem bike at night.

Think about the Keys to the Kingdom Tour at the Magic Kingdom. You get to see the back stage areas of MK, learn about Walt and the crew, as well as ride a couple of the attractions as VIP's. It is in the morning and needs advance payment & reservations. It also includes lunch and we received Key to the Kingdom pins. My DH and I had a great time. I highly recommend it!

My biggest regret from the fabulous week we just spent there is that we didn't have enough time to soak in all of the WS entertainment in the evenings.

We finally hunted down and found DeVine at Animal Kingom.. make sure you find her.. very cool and kinda freaky all at the same time.

In Epcot at WS, we HAVE to grab beer at Rose and Crown and sit and watch the British Invasion over in United Kingdom!

Have you seen Off Kilter before in Canada? They are awesome!!

Send a email post card home to family and friends.. you can send them in Mexico inside at the Kidcot station, at Mission Space, and in one of the Innoventions. Some are pictures they take of you, some are 30 second videos. You get to send one home too, so you can see it when you get back.

Our new thing to do is get pressed pennies. I think we are on our 4th book.

Somewhere on this site was a list ( a very very long list ) of things to do.. like "pull on the rope outside of Indiana Jones show and listen". We have done it before, but the past few times it hasnt worked. "ring the liberty bell" "look for the wedding ring outside of Haunted Mansion" "watch the tombstone right before you enter the main doors of Haunted Mansion.. her eyes open and her head moves' 'look for the pet cemetary outside of HM". "listen for tap dancing and singing lessons on Main Street of MK in a certain spot" Stuff like that if you are interested. Im not sure all of them are still working, but it was sure fun trying to find everything.
