I'm so glad you guys have mentioned this. I wanted to try for it in November with my family (but for Wishes not Illuminations) and I've been subscribed to that thread since before the trip - I've never posted, but I read all the responses.

There is also the Grand Gathering cruise but it's for Wishes I think. It sounds lovely. But then Illuminations wouldn't happen, unless we did the cruise on Thursday night. Anyway, I'm glad you guys have brought it up - Illuminations or Wishes - I'm just happy to be doing it! I know you can get food from the MK resorts on the Wishes cruises, but I don't know about the Illuminations ones - probably has to be from an Epcot resort.

Can they deliver the Kitchen Sink to the boat?

Play games! I have had webkinz for over a year now. We also have 21 of them I still have 5 I have not put on
We have a room for all of them! Not to mention 4 yards, a couple bathrooms, living rooms, ONE kitchen, and an exercise room. My favorite part was making the rooms, can you tell?

We spend our $$ as soon as we get it! (Kind of like real life!)Plus we've only been on a couple months. I think each animal should get their own chance on Wheel of Wow and Wishing Well 2 every day. Not just one username. Hunter won't let me sell his daily gems either! Man I need help! Hunter bought a room w/ out me and attached it to the yard! So now all of his little animals have to walk through the yard to go to the bathroom. However we're too poor to buy a bathtub!!

Well I wish I could talk about Webkinz with you guys but I don't have one yet. I'm just way too sick to even get dressed, let alone consider walking upright and going to the mall. Maybe next weekend.

But I can talk about the Illuminations cruise. It's pretty dang amazing. Don't forget there is a 20% tip that will need to be paid at the end of the cruise too. That will bring the total to $330.

I would not do this for Wishes, personally. You can see Wishes so much better from the park and you wouldn't be able to see Tink from the lagoon. But Illuminations, the cruise definitely gives you an "advantage" on the viewing. We've even watched Illuminations from the Preferred Viewing, roped off location, and it didn't come close to the boat viewing either.

There will be bottled water, sodas and bags of chips provided with this. I don't know if I'd do on the on board dining because you'd have to eat fairly quickly because I don't think you'd still want to be eating when the fireworks start. We had to be at the dock by 8:15, I think. Had to be there in time to pay, load up the boat, etc.

When I called, I used the procedure that was posted on the thread, what numbers to hit, etc. I actually "practiced" a few days before to make sure that what the thread had for instructions was still correct. Then I wrote it down and had it by the phone. Since I had to do it at 4:00 am, left coast time, I didn't want to take chances that I'd be able to do it by memory. I got the last boat for that day. The Illuminations boats are very hard to get.

You do not need park tickets for this so you don't have to do this on the Epcot day.

It requires a credit card hold when reserving but the card will not be charged unless you do a no-show. When you get there, you do not have to use the card that was used for the hold; you can use a different card or pay cash. You can cancel within 48 hours and not have any charge at all.

I think I covered everything. Except did I say how amazing the view was from that boat? But like I said on my tr, there is no guarantee which way the smoke will blow. I've never watched Illuminations from the England/France area and had smoke come that way but I've heard that it does happen sometimes. I know when we watched from Mexico/Norway area, we did have terrible smoke that night. It would be a bummer to pay all that money and then have the smoke but it's like the weather, can't predict it.

Hey girls. I am planning to go. Meaning, rather than saying I'll wait and see if I CAN go, I'm going to wait and see if I CAN'T. I know I can't buy a plane ticket right now, but I am planning to be there somehow. Hopefully plane tickets won't get so far out of reach that I can't think about it.

I'm fine with whatever you all decide on for eating. I'm hoping to go to the Christmas party. I'm only planning on getting a 2 day ticket. I have no idea how late I'll be there on Sunday. It depends on whether I end up driving or flying.

I'm just looking forward to the weekend away and getting to meet you all. If I can't do something because of $$$ I'll let you know. Hopefully it won't come to that too much. It looks like it's going to be a fun weekend.

Then if we don't get it we'll have a second chance for Saturday. This would work since Pakey said you don't have to have a park ticket. We could make our Boma ADRs for 6:00. If we didn't get the cruise we could just go back to DTD. If we did get it we could also try for Saturday then pick the one we want. What do you think?

That is a good idea Monica. May be easier to secure a boat for Thursday night if Saturday is not available. Will most of us be there in time for this? Do you think dinner at Boma at 6 will give us enough time to get over to the Boardwalk? Maybe we could do 5:30 to be safe. We should try for both and then if we happen to get both days we can cancel one.
