Ok we have PS for Chef Mickeys on 12/11, I know we can park at the Contemporary for free for dinner but by the time we eat, it will be time for the MVMCP and we are going. Do I have to leave the Contemporary and drive all the way around to go to the normal parking area?????? It would be nice to leave the car there for 5 hours and save the drive. The $6.00 bucks isn't the big deal it's the time we would save driving from place to place. Any comments or suggestions?:bounce:

The parking policy at the Contemporary Resort is to allow non-CR guests to park a maximum of 3-hours to enjoy the restaurants, shops or the marina. The security booth will issue you a Parking Permit to be placed on the dashboard of your car and direct you to the self parking lot. If the resort is very busy, they may also check your name against a list of Priority Seatings to verify your reservation.

This is done to ensure the availabilty of parking for the guests who are actually staying at the Contemporary. There have been many who have abused the CRs MK convenient parking, leaving their vehicles there until the park closes and taking up valuable real estate. (Imagine if you were paying "top dollar" to stay at one of WDW flagship resorts and lost your parking to non-WDW day visitors.)

That being said, if you don't mind shelling out a few extra bucks and want the convenience of not having to move your car, try valet parking when you enter the resort. (When you go through the Main Gate. stay to the far right and tell the attendent you have PS at Chef Mickeys. the main parking fee will be waived. Parking is also free for other WDW resort guests and Annual Pass holders.)

Continue straight ahead to the CR and tell the security guard you would like to valet park for your dinner at Chef Mickeys. He will direct you to the hotel entrance where a valet will take your car and give you a claim slip.

When you have finished your meal (or whatever) ;) , go back to the valet desk, present your slip and six bucks, and the valet will retrieve your car within minutes. It is customary to tip the valet a couple of bucks after he returns your car. (Some people tip as they drop off as well.)

My two cents, Steve

I think I would just park at TTC and take the monrail to Chef Mickeys. Somone said on here they 3 hr limit is for vallet parking also.

I would think they would limit the valet parking to three hours as well. If I was planning to head to the parks after dinner I would just park at the TTC and take the monorail over to the CR. Then you can just hop over to MVMCP. This would save you the worry about your car being towed.
