if it would get me into the parks faster!

I hate the baggage check so much. I have a family of 4. I want to make Disney this offer: for each day that we go to the parks, we are willing to pay $50 extra for a special baggage and park entrance line that promises to:

1. hire more people to virtually eliminate any wait.
2. Does not require opening and closing the bags. (Use X-rays like airports, or do background checks on us). So we can breeze through.

The more people do the paid baggage check, the fewer people wait in line for the free baggage check, and Disney makes more money. It's a win win for everyone!

Actually how about if you are cleared through global entry, TSA pre-check, etc. then you can get an expedited experience... I may want this because I already have global entry... but I do like the idea of expedited experience!

Universal has the airport like baggage lines and they seem to clear through them faster than Disney does as they don't have people looking through each bag and opening all the zippers up. I make sure to pre-open all pockets to speed up the process but it still takes a long time. Just moving to scanners would help.

Bag check can be annoying but nothing I'm willing to pay for.
I hardly ever wait more than a minute or two.
It seems to be only the rare mid day Epcot long line I wait in and even then last time there was literally no one in line. I should have gotten a pic as proof lol.
I just have my bag ready to go with zippers open.
I also don't carry the kitchen sink.

I'd be happy with an "Express Lane" with a "no backpacks, no strollers" rule, but they'd never enforce it.

They do have this "Express Lane" it's called bagless entry.

Who is paying for these x-ray machines and background checks? If you get a background check at age 25 is that good for life? How often are reinvestigations being performed and who is paying for those? If it is Disney they definitely are not making more money. You won't spend enough money at Disney in your lifetime to pay for either an x-ray machine or a background check + reinvestigations.

So the OP indicated that they themselves would be willing to pay for expedited service. Essentially the idea is the people in the expedited line would be paying for that service and therefore the x-ray machines, etc. if they piggybacked off of TSA precheck or the global entry program the government is running the background check, funded by the fees paid for by the people taking part in the program. I believe the current program is every 5 years you have to renew. As someone who has paid for global entry (so I don’t go through the customs line when I enter from foreign travel, and I have precheck when I fly domestic) I’d be happy to pay a little extra to have that background check shared with Disney, or really verification that I’m active in the program shared if it gets me through Disney security faster.

We go every year during the busiest times of the year and I have never really had an issue with the baggage check taking too long. DH and the kids go through bagless and I usually have a small crossbody. Most of the time I don't wait more than 5 minutes. I think the longest time I waited was when the line wasn't that long but the people in front of me pretty much had everything but the kitchen sink in their backpacks.

I'm the same with the small crossbody, unzipped and ready. I do think it really helps to scope out the lines. I am pretty careful to choose lines with folks that have very little stuff.
