ease my anxiety with some answers for a first timers trip.

How long after the parks close do the monrail, buses and ferries run? What happens if you miss them?

How early do the monorails, buses and ferries begin running?

We are staying at the polyinesian and I don't know how to get anywhere so I am worried about not arriving for EE or being too late coming back from e-nights.

Since you're staying at the Poly, you should have no transportation issues at all, either for EE or for e-night. I don't know how early transportation begins (we've never done EE, tho I plan to this summer even if I have to go by myself), but I believe buses and monorails run for one hour after closing. I'm sure you have nothing to worry about....

Transportation always starts running early enough to get you to the park opening (even ee) and late enough to get all of the guests out of the park. I think transportation to MK starts 1 hour before it opens and the other parks 30 minutes before they open, but it may not be that way at every hotel.
