Im going to be traveling to Disneyworld in the next few months and I want to ask my g/f to marry me. Does anyone have any great ideas? please help!!

you could do a dinner at CRT and ask the server to bring the ring with dessert.

Dinner at Calif Grill during fireworks

on the beach at Grand Floridian during fireworks

I read a cute one here on the DIS, they had there GF throw a penny in the wishing well behind the castle and when the gf turned around they asked is this what you wished for.

Good luck and I hope she says YES!

be sure that when the time approaches u clue in a disney photopass photog a few minutes before hand, they will shoot dozens of pix of you two, :lovestruc

I would go to Arribas brothers store on Main St in Magic Kingdom (its right there on the main drag) and have em engrave a proposal..."marry me princess _________" or whomever:rotfl: and then have a waiter bring that with a dessert, or slip it into cinderellas hands, via a castmember, u can do anything, just ask cms for help(cm =cast member=disney worker)

congrats

u could have a cake ordered with the proposal on it and it can be delivered to any sit dow restaurant in WDW
thats cool! :woohoo: :wizard: :lovestruc :thumbsup2

I would post this again in the touring tips forum. You will get tons of GREAT ideas there!

Definately cali grill watching fireworks, or perhaps a wishes cruise.

What about Victoria and Albert's (restaurant at the GF) I believe they handle this all the time. I have seen them bring the ring out with the food. You may want to look into eating there at the chef's table.

Good Luck!

At CRT they do a special "wishing" ceremony where everyone closes their eyes and makes a wish. While she is closing her eyes, you could get down on one knee, and when she opens her eyes you could ask her to marry you and make your wish come true.:wizard:

Well if it were me, we stayed at GF last year and sitting by the water, when it's dark out and it's quiet and you can year the water lapping on the shore, lights shining from the resorts, that would be perfect for me!

Best if luck and have a wonderful life together.

When I went to WDW last year, my children and I ate in Cinderella's Castle for dinner one night. Right when Wishes began the restaurant dimmed the lights a bit, and this young man got down on his knee and proposed! They had a two person table right in the center window with a perfect view of the Wishes show. Everyone was soooooooo happy for them. I have to say that it was one of the most romantic proposals I've every seen. My children still talk about it... I am sure it made a lasting impression on them.

california grill in the contemporary hotel is amazing. the service and food are great and going outside on the 15th floor where it is located to watch the fireworks is great. remember they are always willing to make your experience exceptional. the back side is far less crowded and will give you more privacy. good luck!

You could try booking a Wishes Cruise or a Cruise on the Breathless. I think that would be a great time to do it.

Good luck!!!! :flower3:

You can also call your ressie line and let them know what you're up to. They have great ideas and can get cast members in on it as well. Not sure if there is a charge, but it might be worth it to check it out!

I think you should make it like that Full House episode, where the fireworks say "Will you marry me Vicky? Love, Danny"

:rotfl: That would be amazing, but probably impossible or very expensive.

I like the ideas so far, go with one of those.

You can also check out Disney proposals on YouTube...there are a bunch of cute ones and some are just good for a chuckle...like the guy who proposed to a CM who was working at Haunted Mansion and got the guests going on the ride involved .

My girlfriend got engaged at dinner in the Castle and she said it was wonderful.

My husband proposed to me at the castle while we were eating dinner. He had called before we went to disney and had it all arranged. While we were eating I had roses brought to the table that dh had ordered from the disney floral shop...beautiful. Then after dessert Cinderella walked acrosse the restaurant and headed right for us with her body gaurds keeping the kids back. She was carrying a glass slipper with my ring in it. Dh had gotten the slipper engraved earlier on our trip from the place on main street. It was awesome and very well organized. the manager of the restaurant in the castle and our waitress were in on it the whole time. I had no idea they were watching me the whole time. This was back in 1997. Not sure if they still do it but you could always call and find out. Good luck and I'm sure no matter what you do it will be special.
