My best friend, Katie ( A.K.A. disneydance ) really needs help. Here's the story:

At our school, we have a Varsity (V), Junior Varsity (JV), and the C-Team for volleyball. When Katie tried out for volleyball with Jessica, they had both made the C-Team. They were both a little disapointed, but at least they were on the same team, right? Through the weeks they went through 6 A.M. practices, and a home game (recently) in which they had lost. She seriously thought of quiting. After all, the practices were tiring, there was a bratty girl on the team, and she was sitting out most of the time during the home game. I had always told Katie that at least she wasn't giving up. At least she was trying her hardest, even if she wasn't the best player on the team. I didn't want her to give up.

However, at tonight's game, Jessica got moved up to JV.

Katie called me, crying. She had no idea what to do. Should she quit? Should she stay in even though Jessica isn't on the team with her anymore?

Please, please, please help come up with ideas for her. I really want to help her, but it's so complicated, I don't even know if "not giving up" is the best thing to say anymore... :sad1:

If she really loves playing, then she should stay. If she doesn't really like it and only did it because her friend was doing it also, then I say she should just quit.

Thanks for this but the JV coach made a offer to me since he heard I was going to quit since all the 8th graders have quit who made C then he told me this long story about how he could only choose one girl and he chose Jessica since she wants it better than I do which is the truth. Then he made this big fat offer of how he wants me to go to the JV practices since i'm the only other 8th grader who hasnt quit on the C-team... but he doesnt want me to play with them. I went to go tell all my friends on the C-team they are ready to kill Velegas. They say its not fair since Jessica isnt a great server and you never mess up and always make it over you go for the ball... and how if there going to do that they better take both of you. Then my coach had not found out about it and got all fusterated since Vellegas hadnt even told her is was taking Jessica he then asked for a answer immediately from me and Jessica told him I needed some time then Vellegas made no comment since and he didnt ask for a answer after we arrived back. The varsity coach told me how great i was and how proud of me she was when we arrived back and then i talked about it with some of my other friends and there all mad about it the coach feels like if hes going to have me practice with them just take me for good but he refuses to she feels like they didnt make a fair decision i think i know the one factor why i he chose her is because last year me and my best friend Katelyn were rude to the varsity even though it sounds like she has gotten over with it since i try alot harder now and all still we had a bad attitude this year and we were told attitude will win you over

I'm sorry you feel bad about it.
But if it makes you so upset, quit.
It's not that big of a deal to quit something if you don't like doing it.
