Hi!

I have two questions, which I'm hoping you could help me answer:

1)How big of a picture can be printed from
a 5.0 MP 2592 x 1944 image
and from a 3.2MP 2048 x 1536 image?

Also, I recorded a small video clip with my Canon A610, but I can seem to find anything to play it on my computer except Quicktime. Personally, I don't like Quicktime, so does anybody know of another program i can use or what i can do to make the clip viewable? It's an AVI file. Its the only file type my camera will take...

It really depends on the subject matter and your standards. From a 3MP(canon A70) I have printed a group photo(in front of disnyland main street station), and at the time I felt the print was perfect. But when compared to a similar print taken with a 8.2mp DSLR, I can now notice that it in fact was not perfect.

You will obviously get lots of "I print 12x18" from a 4MP and they look great". Well to their standards I am sure they do, but sometimes(depending on subject) when I print @ 12x18" I wish I had about 12mp.

The only thing I would advise is to get samples of each and see if they meet your standards.

Have you tried dragging a video file into IE or windows media player? Also check to see if there is an AVI plug in for Winamp.
