I'm ready to book HRH for next June. For those who have stayed at HRH - is there any advantage to pay for the garden or pool view over the least expensive choice? Obviously the pool view will be of the pool. Do you have much late night noise with a pool view? We have never been to Universal and are very excited. Having 2 teenage daughters I thought the HRH would be fun for them. Any advise on room catagory choice would be appreciated.

if you book the least expensive room, that would be the garden view.

it could be a view of the grounds, waterway, water taxi dock, front of the entrance.

i have stayed in rooms designated pool view and have never heard the pool noise.

the windows can not be opened in the rooms.

the only noise you would probably hear at that hotel is the walking, talking done in the hallways outside your room door.

Actually, the website gives me 3 standard options. The least expensive is described as "limited view" for $242, then garden view for $256 and pool view for $283. Without balconies to really enjoy your view is there an advantage to having one view over another?

We have stayed at the HRH for years now and usually go with the mid price room. We have overlooked trees, the front entrance, a small yard on the side of the building. Since there are no balconies the view from the room isn't a top priority for us since we aren't going to stand just looking out the room for a lengthy period of time. If there were balconies we would go for the pool view to sit and watch the activities at the pool.

it's like francie stated, who is going to stand by the window for a lengthy time period to see the view.

there are some peeps that book a room and stay in it more than they are out of the room.
if a view is your first priority, ask for a high level floor and pool view or park view.

i don't know many that are in their rooms for more than a short break or to sleep.

there are no balconies at HRH.

The limited view optional is new to the booking site on line.
it used to be you could get those rooms by calling or at check in.

if you do take the limited view rooms, you won't have a view.
someone posted last year of their "limited" view room at hrh.
it was a view of the rooftop.

Last year we stayed at HRH and had pool view.View was nice but the noise was loud.Loud music and we were on the third floor. We also could hear the people in the room next to us.Walls were thin.

Limited view rooms are partially or completely obstructed. It's hard to explain exactly where these rooms are located because they are not in a specific locatation. rooms with overgrown shrubs and palm trees facing the pool are "limited view" and tagged as such in the hotels computer system. Most rooms on the first and second floor facing the pool are obstructed. there are rooms facing the opposite way on lower floors that are also obstructed with shrubs and plants. As someone already mentioned, rooms obstructed by the roof are also "limited view". Garden view rooms can have views of the side parking areas, front entrance, gardens/waterway, and woodstock lawn/water taxi. Pool view rooms obviously have the best views. If you are on the 5th or 6th floor with a pool view you can also see the themeparks in the distance.

Thank you so much for all who replied. You were specific and gave me exactly the information I needed.

I was also wondering what type of views a "standard" room would give. Guess it'll be a Garden View for us then (since I'm not really into looking at roofing ).
