Please help with SW voucher question

We planned a trip and flight to WDW last Christmas, but we cancelled (dh lost his job) and had a SW credit. I kept making and cancelling reservations and trips hoping dh would be employed, but I ended up having to ask for a 6 month extension (and pay $50) from SW. Now I have a voucher good for 6 months. Can I do the same thing with the voucher as I've done with my other reservations...i.e., make a reservation for December and if I have to cancel, then I can use the funds for another trip?

Job or no job, we'll have to fly somewhere by spring break next year. We can always visit family in Orlando, but we'd love to go back to WDW to celebrate a new job.
