Please help with PS!

I've been reading posts from people going the week after we are, and noticed that they already have PS! We're set for October 4 though 11, and had wanted to do the following:

Cinderella's Royal Table (Know I can't do that for a few more weeks.)

Chef Mickey's

Crystal Palace

50's Diner

Also thought of doing PS for meals before fireworks at Epcot on 10/4 and at MK on 10/5 when we go to MNSSHP. But quite frankly, I don't have a clue what I'm doing!!!! And should we have PS for every sitdown meal we're thinking about having? I'd hoped we'd get PS for the ones we definately wanted to do and just play the rest by ear since I thought October would be less busy. Can anyone provide me any feedback on this? Thanks!!!

If they're are places that you definitely want to eat, I'd get a PS for them. You can always cancel your PS once you are there if you have a change of plans. We were at Disney in late September, early October in 2000 and while it is not as crowded as peak times, we were still glad to have our PS's. That said, with the FTP going on, I would expect that crowds will be a little heavier this fall than normal.

My DH is one who does not like too many scheduled meals. However, we are traveling with my in-laws who seem to like having at least one sit down meal per day. I am going to schedule the PS's and if we decide not to use them, I will cancel. That way I know that we have the restaurants we want and can be flexible if our plans change.

You may want to try Scott's PS calculator (should be a link on this site--I don't have it handy) and that will tell you when you can call for your PS for particular dates.
