Last year savedisney.com had a list of those they suggested be withheld. This year - nothing. I trust Roy's opinions on this matter so I emailed the site only to be told they couldn't suggest anything to me. Bummer cause I can't recall what I did last year.

Can someone help? (You can PM or email me if this isn't the appropriate place to suggest such things.) I know Eisner, Mitchell and Iger... Who else to withhold? Who all is part of that nightmare? :teeth:

Thanks for any help!

ditto here-I asked this question this morning on another thread "disney gave me money" but no answer yet.

All I remember is withholding on three people. Eisner, Mitchell and one other person that I can't remember the name of.

Maybe this will help you. :earboy2:

Here is last year's statement from SaveDisney:

We are seeking a NO vote on Michael Eisner and also a NO vote on George Mitchell, Judith Estrin and John Bryson because they symbolize, respectively, the poor management, poor governance, poor compensation practices, and lack of board independence that are impeding the development of long-term shareholder value at The Walt Disney Company.

Thanks raidermatt.

I thought one of them was a woman, but wasn't positive.

What about Iger? Any thoughts?

Found this on the SaveDisney site:

Today's action by Comcast makes it more important than ever that shareholders send a message to management and the Board by withholding their votes on Michael Eisner, John Bryson, George Mitchell and Judith Estrin. Disney's shareholders deserve a board that looks at what is best for the company and its shareholders," they stated.

What about Iger? Isn't he supposed to be like Eisner's man?
Anyone?

Thanks!

Iger's Bio from the Annual Report:

Robert A. Iger Director since 2000
Mr. Iger, 53, has served as President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company since January 2000, having previously served as President of Walt Disney International and Chairman of the ABC Group. From 1974 to 1998, Mr. Iger held a series of increasingly responsible positions at ABC, Inc. and its predecessor Capital Cities/ABC, Inc., culminating in service as President of the ABC Network Television Group from 1993 to 1994 and President and Chief Operating Officer of ABC, Inc. from 1994 to 1999. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City.

lenshanem,
He is widely seen as an Ei$ner puppet. Certainly "better" than ME, but he would likely be beholding to Ei$ner and this may permit Ei$ner to continue to affect how and what the company does even if ME is gone (officially). Therefore, I will most likely withhold on him as well.

Thanks DVCconvert. That is what I thought. I'm surprised I got all my proxies for my family in time. (I get one for each family member.) Last year they were all late and I had to get email proxies sent to me.

What about Iger? Any thoughts?
I will withhold, though admittedly its a little trickier with him. Its impossible to know how much he philosophically agrees with Eisner vs. how much he is merely trying to stay in his good graces.

Still, to me, he represents the status quo, which is not the route the company should be going.
