We will be skipping the exact dates of the 50th, but hope for a vacation In November. I would pass on Jersey week.

Oct. 1, 1971 was the opening day of the MK and is generally celebrated as the anniversary day. The actual dedication came later on Oct. 25. I would expect the entire month of October to be crazy crowded.

Funny - we planned this years trip in Oct so that we can buy new AP's that will still be good for NEXT year so we CAN be there on Oct 1st!!! For some reason I want to be there in the madness. Call me crazy?! I plan to book our home resort (SSR) at 11 months and will then look at 7 months to see what else is available for the last week in Sept. leading up to the anniversary. We usually go in Sept. and it seems easier to book at 7 months than Oct. But for the anniversary I figured we'd better book early.

OP - if I were you I'd book 2 studios so your daughter can have her privacy and because 2 studios would use less points than a 2-bedroom. But we're studio users 97% of the time so have no problem with them VS a lot of DVC'ers that hate them.

Resort choices (we need to pick 1 and stick with it) OKW , BRV,CCV,BWV - need either 2 Studios or 2bedroom.
We're bring our Adult Daughter. I want her to have her privacy,because she stay up late and we get up early.
Besides Food and Wine, Mickey's Halloween Party, What else would be going on? Oh, How's the weather during those times.

In 2021 Jersey week would start on Monday Nov 1. It is always the same week as Election Day.

Is the first weekend of Nov always the Wine and Dine Half marathon? We’re also planning on fall 2021 but I’m trying to include the wine and dine half in our trip so I can do the races. I’m hoping we’ll be there for 14 days as it will be our first fall with no kids at home to work around. DS will be in the Army and DD will be in her first year or college.

My hubby and I are in the same boat! We want to do Wine & Dine weekend and historically it is always the first weekend in November but in 2021 it's tricky because November 1st is on a Monday. We are coming from Germany and want to be there for two weeks as well...
