ok..I know I asked this already...BUT I wanna ask yet again. We will be in WDW the vey beginning of June...2 of these days..not sure which...WED,THURS,FRI,SAT...this is gonna depend on when we can get the heck out of town,,etc....we are going to do AK and MGM.....are we crazy?we always do theme parks during off season...is ithe heat going to be unbearable?what about crowds?I am geting mixed answers form the Guidebooks,,some say the first week is ok..some just generalize and all of June is horrid and compare it with JULY,,UGH!!!!!soooo please..once more if u have been for the very beginning of June,,and or u work there..please help out soemone who is really thinking June is not such a great idea after all...thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

June will be hot, humid and busy, but not as hot, humid or busy as July or August, so you have that going for you. Wear sunscreen, drink lots of water, and balance "outside time" with "inside time." You'll be fine.

Busy is in the eyes of the beholder. It will be busier than you're used to, but how MUCH busier is impossible to gauge. It won't be like Christmas week or anything like that, but it will be crowded. During the beginning of June you're dealing with Gay Days, which will significantly bump up the attendance of whichever park is the "featured" park that day. You've also got new things in all the parks -- Soarin', small world re-opening, Cinderellabration, car stunt show, etc -- which will make those areas more popular. Plus, it's the first week out of school, which means you have locals there as well.

It will be more crowded than you're used to. You'll have to plan more than you're used to.

ok,,thanks.....I am now REALLY thinking about not going.I am not trying to a diva or a whiney baby,,BUT I am just visualizing masses of bodies and face melting temparatures. This MAY cause me to not choose AK if we go at all now.If the animals will be too hot,,they all are gonna be sleeping(according to the guidebooks)....I can plan with the best if them..BUT I live in a city that deals with crowds of bodies every day.....I dont want them to follow me on my vacation..I KNOW I KNOW,,then dont for to WDW right?hahhah....i know....but since we got our dates bumped to JUNE(thanks to my DH's boss..GRRRRR)....we just may skip out this year(sigh).....stilll thinking........

OK ... first of all, it will not be "masses of people and face-melting temperatures." That's August. :teeth: And the animals will not be too hot and sleeping, no matter what the guidebooks say. You go to DAK in the morning and they're out and active. Even in the hottest part of the day, many of them are out and active because Disney has planned for the heat. There are "cool rocks" and misted areas set up to keep the animals comfortable and moving. I've never been to DAK -- even in the high heat of August -- and not seen active, moving animals.

But it really sounds like you're working harder to talk yourself out of going than you are trying to talk yourself into going. And if that's the case, and if you don't think you'll have fun, then you SHOULD skip it.
