We are planning a trip to go to US and IOA August 11-15. What is the absolute cheapest rate for PBH?? APH, AAA, Super Savings? I have just about confused myself with all of the different rates. We have always used APH.

We LOVE PBH and want to make sure we get a great room. We always get a double queen with balcony (top floor) overlooking the harbor. I enjoy being closest to the piazza and had a killer room last time we stayed but have no idea of the room number. Does PBH have any way of looking up my past visits to see what rooms I was in so I can check and see if they are available?

Are there any king rooms on the top floor with a balcony? TIA!!

we were there last year Aug 15th. I believe we paid 224.00 a night. We have to use Supersaver or AAA rate to get the suite upgrade with Loews. If we didn't do that - the APH and Florida res. rates are cheaper but you get no upgrade with them.

You can call the resort and they will know what room you stayed in last year. Just tell them to note on your reservation you want the same room. Was it in the East or West wing? We have had balconies on the top floor of East, West and Villa wings. I know they have king rooms on the top floor of the East wing. We had king room with a kids suite on the top floor of the West wing.

Any other questions I'll be glad to try and help.:)

Thank you so much for the reply! We have only stayed on one wing for every trip we've gone. I guess the East wing? I'm having a brain malfunction. We always stay at the wing (if you are standing in the piazza looking up) to the right. My most favorite view has been top floor, overlooking piazza, and we had a covered balcony. I will try to dig up some pics from my stays to see what wing they were in!!

If you are looking to the right from the Piazza, that would be the West Wing.

If you had one of the rooms with the covered balcony, that is actually one of the bedrooms to the Villa suites. There are two Villa Suites on the top floor of the West Wing and the covered balcony belongs to the bedrooms connected to the parlor. I am assuming you had a connecting door next to your armoire? We have had that suite a couple of times and it is absolutely fabulous!

You can request those rooms, but they are harder to get (you really lucked out) because you can only get that room if the Villa Suite is not booked and not using it as one of the bedrooms.

Oh my goodness. Please look at my other post and see if that's one of the rooms you're talking about!! I don't remember a door by the armoire...but, you never know about mommy brain!!:goodvibes

Nope, you are right, the one you have circled is indeed the East Wing.

I was thinking of when you stand with your back to the piazza and looked to the right, that would be the West Wing.

In your third picture, where you are looking across the harbor to the West Wing, the pink tower with the beige around the three openings is the bedroom to the 2nd Villa Suite on the top floor of the West Wing.

The other one is just out of the picture to the right.

Great pictures by the way :goodvibes

Well...now I have to tell my dh he was right. That's never any good!! I told him that was a suite and he said that there was no way. He said, "There was no other door!! It was a regular room like we've always stayed in. The only door besides the balcony door was the door to the hall." And I told him that he doesn't know everything and that these board people knew lots more than him!!Oh well..haha!!!

But thanks for looking!! I may just call and ask for all the room numbers to what I've stayed in before and see if I can narrow it down.
I'm so darn excited!!!!!!!!!!!! Portofino potatoes...mmmm...

We were a couple of doors down from you! We have stayed in the East wing several times (top floor with balcony) I have all the room numbers saved so I will look them up for you. If you call the resort directly call 407-503-1000 - ask for Lydia Watwood. She is wonderful and will be able to look the room up for you. Tell her you would love to have the same room again. Those are regular rooms- we have had king and two queen bedrooms in the East wing and I am telling you- those rooms are big!! Our last stay we had a kids suite in the East wing and it was HUGE!!

By the way - did you get the portofino potatoes at Trattoria??

Thanks so much! If you have those numbers that would be great! If not...no worries. I will call the lady you mentioned. And, yes, those Portofino potatoes at the Trattoria are what I was talking about. They are the best breakfast potatoes I have ever had.

They also have the absolute best frozen drink I've ever had as well!! I don't remember what it was called...just that it has different colors. I enjoyed them by the Villa pool last time we went. The Beach pool was closed for our entire trip!:sad1: Those were pre-dd days, though. No more colorful fruity drinks since I'll have my little princess with me! I surely don't mind, though

I hate to break it to you but on our last visit- just a few weeks ago- the portofino potatoes were GONE!!!:scared1: They were my husband's favorite thing on the breakfast buffet. When he saw they were gone I thought he was going to cry. They said they were trying out something new- little hashbrown patties. Hopefully people will complain and they will bring back the origional.

I know the drink you are talking about- very nice!

How old is your little girl?

No, no, no on the Portofino Potatoes!!! Dh will be upset too. He loves them! We are always comparing breakfast potatoes, "These are pretty good...but they are nowhere close to as good as Portofino Potatoes!" My Dh will not eat at buffets. He has a thing with them and says they are gross, but he'll make an exception for the Trattoria breakfast. He says "it's different".

My little girl turned 2 in March. I am SO excited as this is her first Orlando trip!!! Dh and I have had annual passes to US/IOA for years prior to having her. And we live 8 hours away! Our last trip was a month before I got pregnant with her and we are WELL overdue. We are helicopter parents(though getting better with this the older she gets;) ) and just haven't been able to take a trip that far from her, and she has never been a great car rider. But we've decided to try and see how she does.

The only Disney parks we'll do are Magic Kingdom and Hollywood(will forever be MGM in my heart!) and we'll spend the rest of our trip at US/IOA/PBH. I am dreading wait times at Disney.I know that there is not much for her to do at US/IOA...but I know that she'll love the experience and especially Suess Landing!! And you just can't beat Express Pass...especailly with a 2 yo!!

I called to speak with Lydia and she was away from her desk. I was told that I couldn't request a room with a balcony...so maybe I could see what rooms I've stayed in and suggest those rooms? And they just happen to have a balcony?? IDK. I'm frustrated!!
