We are going to WDW June 15th - 21st and I am having a hard time getting all the ADRs we want and could use some help.

For those who don't know us, our family is me - Kim 47, DH Greg 43, Kaitlyn 12, Jessica 12, and Ashley 7.

All of my girls were adopted. Ashley has a number of special needs including spina bifida (walks without assistance) PDD-NOS (autism spectrum), failure to thrive, neurogenic bladder, and also has a MicKey button after Nissan fundiplication surgery for GERD.

We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside and we are on the Disney Dining Plan.

We just decided to go to Walt Disney last month, so we did not have180 days before to make ADRs. I have been calling for weeks, but I am still having trouble getting ADRs for Chef Mickey's, the Fantasmic Package (we prefer Mama Melrose, but will do H & V) and Tusker House breakfast. I know the Brown Derby also has the Fantasmic package, but it is 2 TBS and I would be more worried if Ashley was not waiting well there.

We really want to do Chef Mickey's, but the only time available is 9:15 PM and Ashley will never make it that long for a Character meal. We did have an ADR at 7 AM, but with transportation between resorts, it was just too early, so I dropped it.

We would really like to snag an 8 AM Breakfast ADR at Tusker House on Fri (our AK day) so I am going to keep trying for that.

The only Fantasmic package I could get is on Sat (our arrival day) or on Friday, the night before we leave. Both days are a problem because of our flight times. We are arriving in Orlando at 8 AM on Saturday, but we need to get to the airport by 4:30 AM, so we will definately have to rest once our room is ready, and we wouldn't be able to make a 3:30 ADR.

For now, I have Fantasmic scheduled the night before we leave, but I would like to change it to Thurs night if possible, so I can get the girls to bed early on Fri night. Our flight on Saturday is 9 PM, and we can not go back to the room to rest after we check out, so I want to be sure they sleep the night before. The twins leave the next day (after we arrive home) for a week of gymnastics camp!

Here is what we have now:

Sun June 15 Arrrive in Orlando at 8 AM
DME to Port Orleans Riverside
Magic Kingdom
Head to MK once we are checked in
Back to hotel to rest
No dinner plans yet - does anyone have any suggestions?

Mon June 16 EPCOT
11:45 Princess Lunch at Norway
Midday break at hotel
8:15 Teppan Edo
We have some flexibility on this day. We do not mind missing Illuminations, any ideas how to avoid the Illuminations crowd with an ADR at this time? It is the only time they had to offer us, but we can try to change it. The girls really wanted to eat here since the China restaurant is closed.

Tues June 17 DISCOVERY COVE
Discovery Cove to Swim with the dolphins! And Seaworld
* This day is all set and we do not plan to make changes. *

Weds June 18 MAGIC KINGDOM
Rope Drop at MK
BBB for Ashley at Castle 11:50 (taking Ashley's Cinderella dress along)
Cinderella Dinner at Grand Floridian 4:30 - this is going to have to be our break because Ashley is not going to want to nap once she is a princess!
Wishes if we can make it that long
* I am happy with this day and do not plan to make changes unless we can find a way to take a break. *

Thurs June 19 Hollywood Studios
Hollywood Studios
Midday Break OR
Fantasmic if I can change our ADR from Friday.

Fri June 20 Animal Kingdom AM
Still trying for Tusker House for 8 AM
Rope Drop Animal Kingdom
Safari
Return to room when it gets too hot
Hollywood Studios PM if I can't change Fantasmic
Mama Melrose Fantasmic 3:30 (trying to move to Thurs)

Sat June 21
Morning check out
Magic Kingdom?
Downtown Disney?
Pool?
No meal plans yet - any suggestions?
Return to hotel to catch DME
Leave Orlando at 9 PM

We would welcome any suggestions for meals on days when we don't have any, or ideas on how to schedule those hard to get ADRs - is there some secret as to when to call? I do call almost every day - I know I am obsessed and I also watch the boards for people canceling.

Thank you for your help!

Sounds like you'll have a fun trip!

The first day you could eat at DTD after your hotel break... we used a TS at Wolfgang Puck's and liked it (we got the ADR same day, after we had to cancel another that we couldn't make). You can just take the boat from POR.

We had fun at 50's prime time last trip, and I can't wait to go to sci-fi this time since my boys will just want to sit in a car! Do you have to do the Fantasmic package? If not, that will open up more dining choices for you. I don't know for sure whether it's a great thing or not (I've heard both) since we have YET to see it since my boys can't seem to stay awake long enough!

Can you get a Chef Mickey's breakfast for the day you leave? Or maybe try Cape May... you may have better luck there. We are going there this time instead of our usual Chef Mickey's and I'm really excited about it!

Enjoy your trip!!!
