Thanks anyway, Im totally lost with it, I think someone will have to do it for me:rotfl:

I just use Itunes with it. You need to go to the Apple site and download the latest Itunes from it, you need this on your computer for the Ipod. You should have instructions in the box that the Ipod came in.

Once Itunes is installed you can then connect your Ipod to the computer. It will ask you for a name for your Ipod and set up an account with Apple to buy songs, films, podcasts, audiobooks (and applications if you have the Touch).

Initially when you open Itunes there will be no Ipod listed till you connect it. Once connected it will show up on the left hand side of the screen and about half way down. It will automatically check for updates (which stamp on bugs and add new features). You can click on your Ipod icon which will open up everything about your Ipod from songs you want on your Ipod, photos you want to add, films you want on it (all these have to be in your library so you can select all or choose only certain things).

To get music on to your Ipod I have only used 2 methods. One is simply inserting a cd (whilst Itunes is open) then telling it to import it to Itunes. You may have to tell Itunes to resync with the Ipod for it to update (again the icon for that is on the left hand side or in the folder you open by clicking on your Ipod icon). Or you go to Itunes and pick a song you want, it automatically downloads and goes on your Ipod (you do need to set up an account though). I believe to get normal mp3's onto the Ipod from another folder all you do is drag and drop the song into your Itunes library, the same is with films.

With a Windows based computer you do need to have different user accounts set up, otherwise you will both have to share the same Itunes library.

I hope that helps, they are extremely easy to use.

we had same problem until i realizied I missed out first page which tells you to download itunes to your pc. you don't have to buy msic from them, i just uploaded some cd's

When we first got our ipods I found it very confusing till I plugged the ipod into the pc whilst online, it then uploaded everything automatically. Then just put your CD in and it should come up showing all the songs, you can then either upload the whole CD or tick the songs you want.

Just have a play around and it will get easier, not much help am I :rotfl:

As others state it is easy to download or add your own cd to iTunes library. Amazon also has cheap downloads which can be added straight to iTunes :)

Thanks everyone:thumbsup2

I have managed to download some cds to itunes library and sync it on to the i pod:confused3 :thumbsup2
