We are driving from CT to Orlando...I am in desperate need of some interesting facts/trivia questions. I am putting together a trivia game to keep the kids busy (and from not killing eachother-LOL) I have "prizes" for the correct answers...I just can't think of any questions.
Any help would be WONDERFUL!!:worship:

P.S. I also need the answers to the questions.

Thank you!!

I'm sure some other posters will have ideas for you, but mine is to come up with some travel bingo/license plate type games....they take a lot longer to play and may keep the keeps occupied looking for whatever longer than just a trivis question would.

We count stuff - trucks, tour busses, Waffle Houses, etc. Since DS is small we count for a couple of hours at a time and not the whole trip...but I recall counting Waffle Houses on a band trip in high school and keeping count over the course of the whole trip.

If you're looking for Disney-specific trivia, you could maybe look for a Disney Trivia game and just bring the cards along. We have a set of Disney Trivia cards that are maybe from the early 90's, so no Pixar etc. but I see you're also in CT - I'd be happy to lend them to you for the trip if you're close by. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

DD's are 13 & 14

KristinU ~ Thank you very much for the offer, that is really nice of you. I have Disney trivia cards too, I was looking more for I95 & diff states on I95 Trivia.

I know it sounds "lame" (their words), but I wanted them to learn something new on the way down. Rather then listen to their Ipods, play video games and watch movies. Teenagers...UGH! :scared1::rotfl:

A few times that I drove down, I made "books" for my children. I worked at a place that had a binding machine, so I used that, but you could just print stuff out and put it into a binder. Some of the websites that I used were:
http://www.armoredpenguin.com/wordsearch/
http://puzzlemaker.discoveryeducation.com/WordSearchSetupForm.asp
http://www.momsminivan.com/license-plate-game.html

I own several Disney trivia books, so I typed up papers with some of them on it, but you could go to the library and get some. I did up another book for me which had all of the answers in it. I also just googled topics that I wanted to make games about...Harry Potter trivia, etc. I used the websites to make crossword puzzles, scrambles, word searches, etc. The moms page had some other fun things to print out, like the license plate game, a travel journal. I did mine for fun...it was a long drive. I wasn't really trying to get them to learn anything, but I'm sure that you could find trivia on that stuff as well.

You might want to pick up this book http://www.drivei95.com/about_the_book.htm I don't have it myself, but it looks good.

Have a great trip!
