We are having a hard time deciding what to do in Cozumel with a 16 year old boy. There is so much offered! I would welcome any suggestions for families with teen boys, as far as DCL's offered Port Adventures or we are also open to going somewhere on our own. Thank you!

I need help here as well...

We were all set to go to Nachi Cocom, but they are closed on Sundays. I was really surprised. Anyone have any other tips for a good low key beach day? I'd also do a catamaran charter to a nice beach.

Mr sanchos is nice maybe more for adults but do jet ski, horse riding as extra paid activities

In June, we did the Cozumel Beach Break (CZ15) which is at the Playa Mia resort and really enjoyed it. They had a floating park with blow up slides and an obstacle course that was super fun. They also had kayaks, paddle boats and water bikes. Previously, we did the Dolphin swim thing at Chankanaab Park and that was great as well.

Paradise Beach also has a lot to keep an active 16yo busy. Huge inflatables, snorkel, paddle boards, and good food.

If DCL is still going over to Playa del Carmen (I think for a time - and maybe they still don't) ...

There are several fun options, but the one that I think that a 16 yo would like the best is XPLOR park. It's Zip Lining, Driving "jeeps" (need a valid Drivers License I believe - and need to be at least 18 to drive - but he can ride), swimming in caves (it's better than the hand paddle raft option). I know that my 50 something self has really enjoyed it twice!!

Its expensive but a LOT of fun. If you do this excursion, as soon as you get there and ditch your stuff in a locker, head over to the zip lines, gear up and get going. There are two courses. When you finish the first, don't do something else then come back - that will take too long. Just continue to the other course and enjoy!

I’ve done two excursions at the same location. It was a picturesque beach with snorkeling, paddle boarding and a zip line/Rock wall thing. First time, we pulled up, I saw the beach and said peace out people! Skipped the excursion activities and spent my time relaxing in peace. It was amazing. Next time we did the snorkel and paddle boarding. Loved it! The place has an open air restaurant and bar, plus a beach side pool. It was not large so it wasn’t crowded. Very clean and nice area. Wish I could remember the name of it but specifically it was advertised as snorkeling/paddle boarding/beach excursion.

We've only done one DCL excursion in Cozumel and I highly recommend it.

We did the All-Terrain Buggy and Snorkelling at Punta Sur...the guides are fantastic and ensured that everyone was having a good time. We had a few stop overs and enjoyed their tours. The Buggy was fun for my whole family...It did get a little dusty sometimes, but they provided a scarf to cover our faces during that time. They provide helmet and buggy that were in top shape. The snorkelling portion was very secluded. There were only a few people there and we were provided with lounges and umbrellas and food can be ordered and brought to your seat. Everyone was very nice. We didn't come across any vendors trying to solicit business. It was a very worthwhile excursion and one of the best DCL excursions we've done. It felt like a small private group tour.

I'm also looking for Cozumel excursion recommendations! In our case it's our DD8 we're looking for suitable activities for. Snorkeling in high on our list but we've read that some excursions take you to some less-than-spectacular reef locales. Any experiences in that sense?
