I would really appreciate some of your expertise please :). I'm thinking of combining a trip to DLRP in August with a few days in Brussels first. I've been to two travel agents who have basically told me that what I want to do isn't possible even though I've found it and priced it on line! I'm now a little bit nervous to just go ahead and book it myself in case I've got something wrong. I want to get the Eurostar from Ashford to Brussels direct (it is impossible according to the second TA but I've found it on Erurostars website!). Have a few days in Brussels then get a train direct from Brussels to Disney which I have found on rail Europe web site, the first TA said I couldn't get a train any further than Paris! Then 2 nights in Kyraid. I'll need to book tickets for the Parks separately using my Share Holders discount card. Has anyone else booked a split trip and if so did you have any problems tying everything up. I would also be very grateful if any one could let me know if I am right about a direct train fromAshford to Brussels. Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance for any info anyone is able to give me xx

It states on the Eurostar website it's direct so can't see it being a problem. I don't understand TA sometimes they talk themselves out of a sale sometimes. I would book it yourself, it will probably be helper in owing so too.

Thanks for checking I'm usually really confident booking things myself and really only went to the TA to see of they could do it cheaper, it totally threw me when they gave the answers they did!

Yep your quite right Eurostar does run trains directly to Brussels from London. To get to Paris from Brussels you would need to catch a Thalys service.

Have a look at the Man in seat 61 website which explains how to book tickets on Thalys trains.

Thanks for the info. I've had a look at the web site and it only goes in to Paris, the rail Europe site had direct trains to Disney. I'll book mark the site you've given me as it will come in handy in the future xx

Sorry thought you wanted to go to Paris first. TGV run direct servies from Brussels to Marne La Vallee. Have a look at B SNCB Europe to compair prices as you can book both Eurostar, TGV, ICE and Thalys on that site.

When you do a search to book tickets it will bring up all the services available from Bruxelles-Midi to Marne La Vallee-Chessy (Disneyland Paris) including the direct TGV trains and it's smart enough to cope with Disneyland Paris as the destination. The journey takes about 1 hour 30 mins on the direct TGV from Brussels to Disneyland Paris.

thank you so much for your reply. I've managed to book the whole trip, Euro Star to Brussels, 2 days there then direct train to Disney with 2 days there and then Eurostar direct back to Ashford, just got to sort out Park tickets now!

:cool1: Sounds like your going to have a fun adventure. Traveling around Europe by train is so easy. Shame the TA you visited was not willing to help you, their lost commission is your gain.

Well done for sticking with it and getting it sorted :thumbsup2 Hope you have a great time :goodvibes

And you must go into the travel agents and show them your Eurostar tickets :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

LOL I might even take in a photo of the train station in Disney to prove to them it exists!

I'm really looking forward to it, I've not travelled by train much in Europe apart from a few trips in Germany I'm hoping it will be easy then my DD and I can be a bit more adventurous next year and travel a bit further without having to drive or fly. I'm looking forward to coming back from Disney with no luggage weight restriction!
