Hi all,
this is my first post, but as we are (supposed to be!) going late August, and haven't booked flights yet; I'm starting to panic!
We are booked into OKW from 24th Aug to 4th Sept, (with DDP,yeh!), but were thinking of going a day or 2 earlier so we can book in early and hit the parks. Dh is keen to see if the flight prices come down a bit, but not being much of a gambler, I'm getting twitchy!
We have flown into Sanford before, but the last couple of times, we have flown VA. Now the kids are older (ds 17, dd14 x2) I wouldn't mind not flying direct, but not sure which to choose; and also a bit concerned about return flights,as kids straight back to school.
So many queries, hope someone can help!
Many thanks in advance,
Jules

Welcome

For indirect there are plenty of good prices around now with good flight times. Monday 24th works out slightly cheaper than Sunday 23rd. You should get indirect return from £300pp(24th) or £340pp(23rd) Direct starts at about £520.

3 sites I like to check, they usually cover best prices around.

Kayak.co.uk
travelsupermarket.com
Kelko.co.uk

If you don't mind indirect then I would be booking now at around £300, can't see prices going much below that.

check out farecast.com, they search all the airlines but the also say in the left hand corner if it is a good time to buy or wait and will predict if the prices will go up or down.

Hi Wayne,
thanks for that, am taking a look now! One other point, when you fly indirect, do the planes still have films? I don't think I could stand all those hours in a confined space with my kids if they didn't have something to watch!!!

Thankyou, will try this too!

All airlines show films but you get a different kind of inflight entertainment on every flight. All airlines have newer and older planes. We are flying with Delta in August I believe the plane we will get is this someone else has suggested it will be this
Same plane but slightly different seat config and one has TV in ever seatback with touchscreen, the other has overhead TV's. Thankfully we are in Biz class so won't matter to us but it makes a big difference to economy.
I would check the airlines website you are considering using and look at seatguru.com you can usually figure out whats onboard with a bit of research.

Thanks again! This is the first time we have booked in the school summer hols, so haven't usually had to check out flights too much. Also, we usually have the expertise of my sil to fall back on; but she can't come with us this time.
