Well we are down to the final days...9 to be exact...and we are making final preparations. Tonight we were trying to figure out exactly what was left to pay and get tip envelopes ready. But we are unsure of what to tip!!!

Do we tip standard 15%? For the DJ, that would be $112!?! For the photographer it would $480! This just seems way too high for a tip.

We have on our list to tip the photographer, DJ, our priest and the Maitre'd...the limo driver's gratuity is already added into the bill...are we missing anyone?

Thanks in advance!
Jes

i'd be interested to know what everyone else does as well...i know that when i worked for disney, we weren't allowed to accept tips, but you might want to ask your coordinator. disney entertainment might be different...

oops - I forgot to mention that I am not having a disney wedding (but a Disney honeymoon :thumbsup2 ) I am getting married at home in New Jersey.

Thanks!

If the search function is working, you should be able to turn up numerous threads about who to tip and how much - in fact, I think there was one just last week! :thumbsup2

Basically, you only tip people who don't own their businesses, like the limo driver and the DJ. So Randy Chapman wouldn't need to be tipped, but a Disney photog you could tip if you wanted. And it isn't usually a percentage, just a flat amount, like $20 or $50 or whatever. As you said, tipping a percentage would really add up!

A 20% gratuity is already included (in Wishes weddings) for catering staff.
