Please help. What is a Hidden Mickey pin compared to a regular pin?

I decided I am going to start collecting pins with my trip out to WDW in December and right now I am doing some pin purchasing on Ebay to help start trading at the parks. I picked up a lot of 40+ pins yesterday for $51, all of them Hidden Mickeys. Now, I understand about the little Mickey symbol somewhere on the pin, but what does that mean? Do they issue the same pin with and without the symbol?

I did a keyword search before posting this, since I am trying not to ask a question that someone else might have asked, but I could not find a straight forward answer.

Its just a series. There are no other pins without the mickey....The hidden mickey pins have just that, a little mickey on them....thats all....

Hidden Mickey's are Cast Lanyard collections, you can get them by trading, or by purchasing mystery packs well after the pins are released by trade.
