I am trying to narrow down our "wish list" f meal for our fall trip --traveling w/ DH and princess-obsessed DD (4) and pooh-loving DD (2). really, i would like to eat EVERYWHERE in WDW, but have narrowed it down to 13 meals (some are at same restaurant...i am wondering which meal is better, like whispering canyon bfast versus dinner, or play and dine bfast versus lunch??). we will have 7 TS's, so I need to cut 6 of the following soon so i can make my ADR's:

bfast akershus
bfast Boma
bfast Crystal palace
bfast whispering canyon
bfast 1900 park fare
bfast play and dine
lunch play and dine
dinner whispering canyon
dinner 1900 park fare
dinner tusker house
dinner garden grill
dinner cape may cafe clam bake
dinner ohana

what should i cut?
TIA!!!!!!

You have a nice list with no bad choices but there are a lot of repeat places on your list.... Based on your kids loves I would ditch the following:

1)Play & Dine Lunch
2)Tusker Dinner
3)Boma Breakfast
4)Cape May Dinner
5)1900 Breakfast
6)Whispering Canyon Breakfast or Dinner... Keep one... Both are great.... Lively for both and menus are really nice for both...Simple food, small menu, VERY good food for both... Kids will enjoy the atmoshphere... But I would only go once because there are so many different places to experience.

With 2 y o and 4 y o little girls, if you are OK with lots of buffets and character meals (which I would TOTALLY do with those two little ones -- there are years and years in the future when it might not be so magical :wizard:) Here's my suggestions for TS:

B : Akershus (All princesses! princess: princess: princess: you could do L or D instead, but the menu is Norwegian food and a little more...um...adventurous :goodvibes)
B: 1900 PF (Mary Poppins, Alice, Pooh characters)
D: 1900 PF (Cinderella and friends)
B or L: Hollywood & Vine (if your kids like the JoJo and Little Einsteins, D here is *not* a character meal) OR you could do Donald's Safari Breakfast in AK
B, L, or D: Crystal Palace (Pooh characters)
L or D: Garden Grill (Chip and Dale, Mickey, Pluto)
and one more D: maybe Whispering Canyon or 'Ohana (not character meals, but both fun for little kiddles).

I took my DGD, 3, to DL this February, and it was a blast -- we had dinner with Ariel in DCA and breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen. We got fabulous photo ops and autographs when the characters came to our tables, rather than having to wait in lines out in the parks. I would also suggest if your little ones are a bit shy about the characters, to try to plan a meal or two with "face characters" first like the princesses or Mary Poppins to warm them up. Tali was very shy about the characters in full costume, like Chip and Dale and Pluto, but after meeting the princesses, she was fine at Goofy's Kitchen -- even the big blue Genie didn't worry her! :thumbsup2

Our last trip we tried two breakfast TS, mostly because I knew how much my dh loves to eat a big breakfast and he commented at the end of the week that he would rather have had dinner or lunch TS meals. I would narrow my meals down to no more than two TS meals. We loved dinner at Whispering Canyon, my dd's wanted to repeat it for our fall trip. They loved the food and how much fun the waiters were here. We have done Crystal Palace for lunch and this year we are going to do it for breakfast, only because the girls wanted to get into the parks before it opened. They learned that on the dis! We are going to try dinner at Ohana and 1900 Park Fare this trip and can't wait. I think you've picked some great places I would just narrow it down to how many breakfast/dinners you want to do.

bfast akershus
bfast Boma
bfast Crystal palace
bfast whispering canyon
bfast 1900 park fare
bfast play and dine
lunch play and dine
dinner whispering canyon
dinner 1900 park fare
dinner tusker house
dinner garden grill
dinner cape may cafe clam bake
dinner ohana

what should i cut?
TIA!!!!!!

I would cut:
Boma, Bkfst 1900 Park Fare, Tusker House (not very kid-friendly, from the menu), Cape May, Play and Dine Lunch, and either Whispering Canyon or Garden Grill. I might would reccomend not going to Hollywood and Vine at all. You might want to do both bkfst and dinner at CP.

Thank you all so much for your advice and recommendations!!!!! I really appreciate it:)

definitely keep Akershus breakfast and Crystal Palace (for your Pooh lover). I have never been to 1900, but would love to try dinner with Cinderella and the step sisters.

Dinner at Ohana was good - you're little ones would have a good time - but it's not a "must do" in my book. It could be one you skip if you need to.

girlsmom, where are you staying? If you are not staying at AKL I think going out there for breakfast is a bit of a travel challenge, you might be better to get an ADR for Donald's Breakfastosaurus right in the park.

This is what I would do

Breakfast Crystal Palace
Breakfast akershus
Breakfast Donald's Safari

Dinner Ohana
Dinner 1900 Park Fare
Dinner Boma
Dinner Whispering Canyon
