I know there are numerous people on this board from Massachusetts and it's to you that I'm asking for help. Several months ago a male cat started hanging around my house. In the last month or so, he's been here almost all the time. Today I brought him to my Vet to have him checked and the news was bad. He has FIV

He's a wonderful cat, friendly, well behaved and very affectionate. I can not bring him into my house though. FIV is highly contagious to other cats. Dogs can't get it. Birds, ferrets, gerbils and people are all immune to this. But with other cats, it's much too dangerous.
He needs to be the only cat in the household. He needs to be an indoor only cat. I am putting flyers up in the neighborhood just in case he belongs to someone and I will do the same at the local Vets. I will also place an ad in the paper. I'm not too hopeful about finding his family. He's been living at my house for nearly 5 months.
I've also checked all the no kill shelters in our area. They won't consider him because of the health issues.
If you could find it in your heart to adopt this cat or if you can mention it to your friends, co-workers, relatives, whoever, they'd be getting a loving animal. Any of you that have other ideas on how I can find this cat a home, please post them.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Here's a couple of pictures of Dad.
