Hi all. I am in the process of finishing my shirts thanks to the great Disigners on this board. One of the disigns is saying "will print at less than 150 dpi at the requested size". How do I change the size? It was given to me as a .jpeg. Please help:confused3:confused3 We leave Saturday morning and I still don't have anything in a suitcase because I've had an ear infection all week that is finally starting to clear. Please someone...Thanks!

If you have a photo editing program...you can increase the DPI which stands for dots per inch. Your camera takes images at around 72 DPI, but a lot of DISigners will create artwork at 300 DPI for a better resolution image.

The two questions you will have to answer is:

1. what program are you using that is saying the image is too small...and what program do you have that you can change the dpi?
2. how did you get the original image? If you got it from a photobucket account...you may have saved the thumbnail image which is way to small

Let us know the answers to those questions and we can better help with your problem...

I would suggest running a trial print on a regular piece of paper to see how the image looks before wasting a transfer sheet.

Thanks for responding. I am opening it in adobe photoshop. Since it saved as a jpeg it just went into that program. I need to go back to my file to see where I got it from. I think I just copied it from the thread once it was personalized but I'll check.

In photoshop you can change the size of the image or resolution by:

1. Open up the image
2. Click on "image" tab at the at the top of the screen
3. In the drop down menu click on "resize"
4. In the next drop down menu click on "image size"
5. Once you see the next screen you can change the resolution to 300 pixel/inch if you want and/or change the size of the image. You can only change either the size or the height...the program will automatically reformat the other size for you

At least that is how I do it in my version of photoshop. Hope that helps!
