Hello everyone!!
I thought all the experts here could help me with this, even though it's not a WDW hotel.

I booked the Ritz-Carlton New Orleans (live in N.O.) deluxe room at $188.45--tax and all included-- for our first year anniversary on 11/30, 1 night. But for $244.95 (tax included), we can get a concierge room--a bigger room with nicer furniture and bigger, more luxurious bathroom, better amenities, lounge which "offers 5 food and beverage presentations daily"-- Breakfast, midmorning, tea, hors d'oevres, and cordials with truffles in later evening.

What do you think I should do. I need to make the change ASAP if I want it. I just don't know if the extra $56.50 is worht it??

TIA

Well, to me it's worth it. Especially if you don't plan on leaving the
room much;) . If you don't plan on doing much site seeing, I would just enjoy there offerings.
Have a great Anniversary.:teeth:

Thanks, Wendi! We don't plan to site-see--we can do that any day. Did I mention that this is a surprise for my DH?

 Well, by all means...........GO FOR IT!!!! It will feel great to :hyper: snack:hyper: during the day when you need a little energy.

I hope you pick up some of those AWESOME Pralines before you check in though. We always have to pick up a dozen before we check in.

Thanks again!! I'll call to upgrade later when DH leaves again. I've never been to a Ritz-Carlton , nor have we ever experienced concierge/club level. I'm very excited!

You GO girl, sounds like the best plan....and very decadent...don't forget the bubble bath.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

Thanks for all the congrats!!
Believe me, I have a plan to spoil DH, including a bubble bath and a massage given by yours truly. I hope the food is plentiful enough in the Club Lounge so that I won't have to spend more $$$ on dining. Now I'm trying to figure out a way to get there without having to drive my car there and having to pay a $28 parking fee!!!!!

Thanks for the suggestion. A limo would be more expensive than parking at the Ritz, but I just don't see how one can pay $28 for parking not including any unforeseen tips!! I'm thinking that I can park in Old Algiers on the West Bank where I used to live, take the ferry to the other side of the river, and take a taxi from there to the Ritz on Canal Street. That should cost less than $8 one way. It's not the most romantic way of transportation, but I'll be saving some bucks! I wouldn't mind just walking to the Ritz from the ferry landing, but I don't think it would look right with 2 people strolling to the front of the Ritz-Carlton with a small rolling suitcase!! :scratchin
