Please Help! Question about Buying Resale & Splitting Contract

Hi everyone! My DH & I just bought in through Disney & now my parents and sister are looking to buy in. They however are looking at resale contracts. If they find a larger contract (250 - 260 pts) to buy & split can they do that? I thought that I read on here before that a large contract could be split up by re-doing the title, is that correct? Is this even possible?

No, only Disney can split contracts.

When new buyers go through Disney, they can ask to buy with smaller contract. They are not really splitting up contracts, but rather buying their points in multiple contracts.

When buying resale, the contract will stay as one contract.

Not unless it's multiple contracts. They could buy together and split the points in usage between themselves though I generally don't recommend a family partnership. They could also buy less and do the points rental and cash discounts to stretch the points.
