We had 2 alcohol deliveries along with other items from them last October at the boardwalk resort. First time I made the mistake of scheduling delivery between 8 and 10 pm on a Saturday night. Delivery was way after midnight. I waited downstairs and was not a happy camper. Driver delivered to bell services finally even though I said I would meet her. She could not speak English so neither I nor
amazon customer service rep I called after 22 pm could communicate with her. I could see where driver was in the ap but she was stopped in each location for over an hour. Not sure how accurate ap is. I finally went to bell services after 12:45 am and the order had been delivered. Unfortunately they sent the wrong beer and dairy items that were not packed with the typical cold packs. After yet another call to their customer service, they offered to replace the dairy items and send the beer I ordered the next day. This time when I went to meet driver, bell services told me to talk to them in advance when I was ordering alcohol, give them my name, show them my ID. They sent the wrong beer again so we gave up on that. They did refund the cost of the beer.
I would try talking to bell services in advance so they know you are over 21. Bell service guy I spoke with was less than positive about amazon prime drivers in general. I would guess they have had issues. He recommended Garden Grocer I think.
We did a car service with a grocery stop during our latest trip in late January. Saved a lot of time and frustration. Might use amazon prime now in future but only in a real pinch.
