please help?? Question about 11month old and dining.

Ok I have read more than a few places where my 11 month old ds will be able to eat for free, but I have a question about that. Does he eat from the child's menu free or is it going to be just a little snack they bring out? I ask because we are on the dining plan so I would have to budget a couple extra dollars a day per meal for him since he can easily throw down a kids meal if he likes the food, so If they bring out a snack that would not be enough for him. I have no problem paying for a kids meal, I just don't want it to be a surprise when I get there, and I know all you disers can answer this one!!!!!!

Children under 3 eat free at the buffets. If you are at a table service or a counter service, you will have to pay for a childs meal or let him share your meal.

I have seen several posts of the same nature, but I just can't figure it out either! I have never been to a restaurant that wasn't buffet that just gave you free food for a child under 3. I wonder if those people actually paid and didn't realize it. (I guess that is all to say you're not crazy, I read it too!)

Edited to say: That being said, my 1 and 2 year olds will just share with all of us, as I anticipate that we will have plenty of food (doing the free dining plan.)

Yes you will need to pay for anything that your 11 month old eats unless it is at a buffet and then he will eat free. We took my DS before he turned 2 and since he is a pretty big eater we intentionally ate at lots of buffets so he would eat "free".

under 3 free at buffets....when we are not at a buffet we have always ordered DD somthing off the children's menu...CG brings out an appetizer of goldfish which is "free".
