This die hard Disney family is venturing over to Universal this year! We're bringing a small crowd, 13 of us ranging from 5 year old daughter to 68 year old Grandpa in a scooter. Any advice is appreciated!!!

I know as Thanksgiving nears that week, crowds grow larger. We are planning to do Disney on Sunday and Monday, and am looking at doing Universal, one park per day for 2 days, the latter part of Thanksgiving week (maybe Wednesday and Thursday?) with express plus passes. Since I'm buying the passes in advance, I need advice on which park for which day. I'm guessing Thanksgiving day will be busier, so which park handles crowds better? The express passes go from $19 (Weds) and $25 (Thurs) to $39 on Friday, so I'm thinking we'll avoid Friday altogether. Any better ideas from the experts? So excited to be trying something new this year :yay:.

Express Passes are priced based on estimated crowd sizes - if they are priced low, they are expecting low crowds. Higher prices mean bigger crowds.

Due to Harry Potter, it seems that on most days IOA is busier than US (at least in the WWoHP area), unless there is a special event in US that day. Although looking at the Express Pass prices for those days, it sounds like they are expecting lower crowds both of those days. I'd go to IOA on which ever day looks to be the least busy, and US on the other day. On a normal week I'd vote for Wednesday to be the least busy, but with the holiday on Thursday it might actually be the least crowded day.

If one member of your party uses a scooter for mobility, you might think about contacting Guest Services for information about a Guest Assistance Card. That will also help you avoid some of the long lines, and I believe it works for your whole party.

100% agree with your assessment.
