At this very moment I am in the car driving to WDW with checkin at BWV tomorrow. Left earlier than orig planned (thanks to hurricane sandy) and we thought we would spend the nite somewhere between savannah and Jacksonville. But we are making really good time and DH was thinking about droning straight thru. We could arrive in WDW around 2am. Is it somehow possible to book a room after MS closes - maybe thru the resort directly? We really don't want to decide for sure until about 10 or 11pm. And i dont care which resort id be at - we r fine with just moving over to BW in am Any ideas?

AFAIK, you have to call MS to book with points. MS is open until 7:30 PM so you can call them now to verify.

Call MS now - they are open until 7:30 p Eastern on weekdays. They will know if there is availability anywhere for points and be able to book it for you.

Back up plan - just stay somewhere close by for cash when you get to Orlando.

Good luck!

If you try asking for a room at the desk, it will can cause a problem with your points. I would try to call member services now before you arrive and have them check inventory for you. They would just note that you would be a late arrival too on your reservation. We've done this en route to Disney and stopped over at HHI. But in each situation called member services and had them reserve the room for us and reviewed our points before hanging up. Stay safe while driving. I know it's been hard after Sandy.

Unless you can get a reservation that keeps you in the same room, may as well stay somewhere and get there earlier and more fresh rather than getting in late. I don't see that an on property room adds anything in your current situation. Priceline often has good options around the south Savannah exits, Brunswick GA and Jacksonville. Enjoy your trip.
