Please Help My ADR List Shrink!!

Planning for 9 night stay in April {2 nites Dolphin/7WL}. My current ADR list consists of the following...San Angel; TuttoItalia; Sci-Fi; Plaza; Yacht Club Galley; Crystal Palace; Chef Mickey's; GF Cafe; Cape May Buffet; Mama Melrose Fantasmic; Il Mulino; Kona; Rose & Crown; Biergarten...as you see, I am in ADR hell and need help shrinking my list...the travellers this trip are just mysaelf, DH and 7 yo son...thanks for any input offered!!

Assuming you have the DP for the 7-night stay, I would cut out Mama Melrose Fantasmic pkg (2 TS credit meal is never a good deal in my opinion), Rose & Crown (sorry, just not a fan), Plaza (never eaten here but does not look like a good deal on DP, maybe as part of your OOP 2-day stay),& Sci-Fi (Your son may like the atmosphere but the food is not good IMO). Not sure what the Yacht Club galley is. I would definitely keep Kona, Chef Mickey & Crystal Palace (for your son), and Cape May. We are trying Tutto Italia for the 1st time next month and really looking forward to it but can't offer any comment on the food yet.

I would definitely keep these: Sci Fi, Chef Mickeys, Crystal Palace, Cape May. Theyre so much fun for your son! Esp Sci Fi! He will love that place. Perfect age for it. They just came out with a new menu, its so much better than the one before. Check it out on the disney site!

Is your Cape May ADR for breakfast or dinner? Dinner has no characters btw. Not sure if you knew. If its for breakfast, definitely keep it! Its one of the best character breakfasts because of the food and its so much calmer and quieter than the others. Very pretty resort btw.

I would honestly toss out the fantasmic pkg. Go to another restaurant that day and get your own seats 1 hr prior. you will not only get better seats, but you will also save the 2 TS credits to use elsewhere!

The plaza is cheap enough to pay out of pocket. I would NOT use up a TS credit for this. We paid out of pocket last trip. Food is pretty tasty btw!! Sundaes are awesome! And they really really do have the best fries at disney!!!!!!

Kona Cafe (one of our faves!)
Cape May

Would get rid of:
The Plaza (it is inexpensive in DW standards, so I wouldn't waste my Dp credits on it. Definitely one to pay OOP for.)

Mama Melrose (food and service aren't the best)

Sci Fi (food is blah).

San Angel - No opinion, haven't tried
Tutto Italia - Booking next trip, haven't tried
Sci-Fi - Awesome atmosphere, but poor food quality. I'd cancel.
Plaza - Never eaten here
Yacht Club Galley - Never eaten here
Crystal Palace - Keep for sure - we love every meal here!
Chef Mickey's - Must keep!
GF Cafe - Never eaten here
Cape May - Keep
Mama Melrose - We hated it - very poor quality and the wait was horrible even with an ADR during our experience and it was in January!
Biergarten - Trying this upcoming trip, no opinion yet
Il Mulino - No idea, sorry!
Rose & Crown - love the fish and chips - keep!

I thought Mama Melrose was 1TS credit, even for a Fantasmic package. Are they now 2TS credits?

Last time we did the Fantasmic Pkg and had our dinner at Mama Melrose it was only 1 TS credit on DDP. I just checked Allears and they also show that this is only 1 TS credit...i.e. Brown Derby would be the only 2 ts credit option for this pkg.

We had a good meal at Mama Melrose - so I say keep that. The two standing out to me that I'd toss are San Angel and Tutto.

San Angel -we found the menu here to be very limited and the food only so-so. The atmosphere is beautiful, but for us it didn't make up for the quality of the food.

Sci-Fi - this is such a fun place - where else can you sit in cars and watch bad B movie trailers. The food is decent - not going to win any awards but a fun meal.

Chef Mickey's & Cape May Buffet - both are buffets with Characters. I'd choose between the two and do one. We found Cape May's to have a bit more variety and it was a bit quieter experience. The set up of Chef Mickey's can make for a loud meal.

Mama Melrose Fantasmic - another limited menu, but the food was very good. If Fantasmic is a must do on your list then it's good to have the package. I'd consider paying OOP for it though as I'm not sure it's worth two dining credits.

Kona - we love this location for breakfast!

Biergarten - another buffet. Food was good, but if you are not big buffet people, then I'd loose this one.

My only complaint from my Disney TS meals was Mama Melrose. Took 40 minutes after the rest to get seated. Extremely slow service and the food was basically on par with Olive Garden. So I'd cut that one. Trust me in not a complainer but this was my worst experience is Disney. I had great experiences at all other TS meals.

Guess I am in the minority but I like Mama Melrose. After a hot day in the park, I love to go into MM because it's kind of dark and there are little white lights draped around (not in a tacky way, at least I don't think it is). The food is not absolutely fantastic - but it's decent and I've always had (with one exception) good service. However, I definitely wouldn't blow 2 credits on it. I'd spend one and get my own seat. Not sure what Yacht Club Galley is - do you mean the Yachtsman or Crew's Cup (lounge next to Yachtsman). I really like Crew's Cup. Can't speak to Yachtsman because I've never been.

I would skip Chef Mickeys. Both times we have eaten there it is loud and the food was bleck

I would not just look at your ADR's but which ones you would need to hop or are a little more difficult to get to.

MM is only one credit not two unless something as changed. We have liked in the the past but did not go last trip.

I would first dump Tutto because compared to Il Mulino, Tutto is going to be a huge disappointment.

I also think San Angel Inn is pretty bad. GF Cafe is not that interesting and IMO not worth traveling to if you are not staying on the monorail loop.

I would also skip Mama Melrose Fantasmic package.

Next I would drop either Yacht Club Galley or Cape May; I wouldn't do both.

If you are on the basic DDP I would use most of my TS credits for dinners rather than breakfasts. I would try to coordinate the meals with your park touring plans, so that you're not running back and forth too much.

In general, I would recommend keeping Cape May Buffet dinner, Biergarten, Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey, Plaza and Kona. I would pick EITHER Tutto or Rose & Crown just because you don't want too many meals in Epcot. I would pick EITHER Sci-Fi or Mama Melrose; note that if the package seating is available at a time that works for you, the MM F! package is still just 1 TS.

I don't know what you are calling "Yacht Club Galley".

You don't have anything in or near AK. If you are going to this park, I'd recommend dinner at Boma, which is at the nearby AKL, or Tusker House (and at Tusker, I believe the buffet choices are about the same at lunch & dinner, so an early afternoon meal here during the heat of the day would be a good use of a TS credit).
