Please help me with planning; ROL coming in early Sept?

I make my fastpasses in 5 days; I am trying to surprise my kids so I don't want to ask their opinion (maybe that's stupid) but I am banking on ROL being up and running for our early Sept trip. Anyone with any knowledge/guesses if I should plan an evening at AK; I would only do this in order to see ROL. We will park hop for 3 days, so otherwise, we'd be at AK only one morning.... not sure how to plan now! We were planning on: Day 1, MK/Epcot; Day 2, Ep/HS; Day 3 is my questions: MK then AK? But MK has EMM, wanted to avoid that since we always do RD (no EMH for our trip). Totally messed up now. Thank you in advance to anyone that can help me!

Hi! My advice would be to not bank that anything will be open during your trip since it looks like ROL is having problems. It's possible it will be open but, not a given. I would suggest maybe trying EMM since its just a little earlier time in the parks unless your family likes to sleep late. If not then plan the trip as if ROL won't be open as to not face disappointment. Worst case situation is it is open and you miss it this trip, if you're okay with that happening then plan as if it will be closed. Hope this helps! Have a magical time!

Yeah, that's not something I'd bank on. Could it happen? Sure. But I definitely wouldn't put it in the "likely" category.
