Please help me with my FP+/resort reservation dilemma

So we are booked for Dec 12-19 but will probably need to change to Dec 16-23 due to work issues. I currently have a separate resort reservation for each and will cancel one as soon as I’m sure. Problem is FP day is coming up soon and I won’t know by then, so I will make selections as if I’m arriving the 12th. If I end up cancelling that will I still be able to keep the FP I make for Dec 16-19 since I have the other reservation for those dates? Both reservations are packages with hotel/tickets. Any insight is much appreciated!!

Yes. Those FPs will remain intact based on your package tickets for Stay#2.
