Please help me with MM plans

I have two trips coming up - one with my daughter's HS music trip and one family trip. Trip dates are 2/17-19 and then 4/27-5/6.

Can someone help me flesh out if I can purchase MM for the first trip, and then when would I need to wait to download the pictures, get an extension - all to make it work for the family trip as well?? It is not imperative that I have it for the music trip, but would like my daughter to be able to get some pics with her friends, as I do not think they would get pics in front of the icons otherwise. I think they would really enjoy the ride photos and videos more-so. I will definitely be getting MM for the family trip, so trying to maximize the use.

Who is able to help me flesh out the dates to see if and how this exactly would work!??

Ok, MM is considered activated when you perform the first download. In order to capture all pictures from trip 1 before they expire, you must do that download within 45 days of the first picture taken. First arrival date is 2/17. You have until 4/2 to download those first pictures and MM is now activated. This now gives you 30 days to continue capturing new pictures, which Only gives you til May 2 to continue getting pictures added.

You will need to buy an extension on those first pictures to make sure they don't expire by 4/2. You would then delay your first download until later (you really only need a few days, but give it a week or more to give yourself a little breathing room) like 4/12. Now your 30 days to add more pictures begins on 4/12 and extends through 5/12 - plenty of time to cover the second trip. The pictures taken each get their own expiration date of 45 days later, so you can do unlimited downloads after that first one on 4/12 until 45 days after your last picture.

**i did not have to do this myself. I am pretty darn sure I understand the extension and activation, but since your more important trip is the second one, I would definitely call MM customer service to walk through this to confirm. Write down the name of the CM and date of conversation that they confirm this with you. If you have any problems later, I have heard and experienced only very good things about MM service, so I'm sure they'd make it right with you**

After all that, the catch will be to figure out when the girls are getting their music trip magic bands, making sure they get MDE accounts and link up as "family and friends" so that their pictures will show in your account.
