Please help me with a FP+ strategy

I hear WDW's BTMRR is better.

Totally disagree. WDW does not have the end scene effect that DLR has. That scene alone makes DLR better ... for us, anyway. :)
They may be talking about a smoother track or something, but I can't tell any difference in that respect.

So our choices for mid-June are:

MK - 7DMT, Space Mtn, Big Thunder
AK - Flight of Passage, Dinosaur, Everest
EP - Test Track, Mission Space; Green, Spaceship Earth
HS - RnR, Tower of Terror, Star Tours

Then to try and maximize our 'standby' options, I invested in a subscription to Touring Plans. Fingers crossed for some magic-infused technology !

We have the same exact choices in late May! :)
Have fun!

That's hilarious. We originally had Pirates, instead of Space. But my son really wanted to make sure we get the coasters taken care of. So I am letting Touring Plans figure out when to get me close to the new Redhead.

I loved Whoopi and Golden Dreams! DH was just saying that this weekend as I drug him on Ariel. Again.....

No Golden Dreams, no Soarin' over California...they are going to have to change the name of DCA soon.

:thanks: Which would you say are the best standby options? I added a few rides to our MK day; I will want to go on POTC and BTMRR even though we have them at DL. I hear WDW's BTMRR is better.

Thank you! So choose Test Track over Frozen if rope-dropping? If not rope=dropping then Frozen over Test Track? Funny thing is DH and I aren't huge Frozen Fans but it feels like we should ride it because we haven't and are not sure when we will return to WDW. Silly I know.
We fast walked from future world to frozen and had maybe a 2 minute wait. Then we went over to tt and used our fast pass. Since tt breaks down a lot we like getting a FP for it. If it breaks down you get a FP you can use on another ride or wait and see if tt opens back up.

I think even if you aren’t rope dropping you could get a FP for tt instead. I might be in the minority here but I’ve seen low waits for frozen and tt always seems to be high. We didn’t want to do single rider for tt because we like to ride together.

This year was our third year in a row and our first time riding frozen because we took our 9 yo niece. It’s just okay for me but it was fun to see for the first time. (In forever)

And Paradise Pier Hotel.

If you aren’t rope dropping MK, I agree with @mi*vida*loca ’s choices. Standby for Philharmagic and maybe Pirates. As soon as you pass the FP touchpoint for FP#3, Search for FP#4. Choose and Confirm and then return to the FP and Modify to move up the time. You may be able to find and book the rest of the rides on your list. :)

True. I heard its getting renovated after the new resort is finished. Thanks! Can we always hold 3FPs? And only one can always be a tier 1?

So the ones I grabbed are attractions that are "new to us" or family faves. That said, we also love Pirates, Mansion, and other rides in MK. I just tried to get the best sense from my family what are the must-dos. Those were the Fast Pass options I went for. Once I had that locked down, I took the rest of our usual suspects and plugged them into the Touring Plans website(along with my fastpass and dining reservations) and came up with some touring plans that would help us get everything done. Hope this helps.

It totally helps, thank you! I think I am finally starting to wrap my head around FP+.

There is a good chance I am confusing it with another ride. LOL!

In forever...cute! Thank you for walking me through it; it really helps me.

I hope what I said made sense. It’s kind of hard to put it all into text. One thing I wish someone would’ve told me about frozen: you can and in my case, will get soaked. I didn’t expect it at all and I wasn’t ready to walk around in wet shorts lol

Is parking hopping with FP+ possible? I am guessing you can only have FP+ for the same park that day?

Your prebooked ones must be in the same park. After those are used further FPs can be in any park, but only one at a time.

Yes. You can pre-book 1 or 2 and as soon as you tap FP#1, you can book a FP for Park#2.

All the steps are in the FP FAQ ADDENDUM Sticky at the top of this forum. :)

Really? I had no idea. Thankfully we’ll be there in August. Do all the seats get wet?

Once you use 3 at one park, you can then get your next FP for any park.

Thank you both. So unlike Disneyland/DCA you don’t have to be in the park to get a FP+?

Well I guess not as we book 60 days ahead. So different. :upsidedow

Thank you. I have been reading it; hoping it’ll click. I like to think I’m fairly intelligent but it’s mostly book smarts, not common sense. That’s what my DH tells me. ;)

I wish I would’ve known but it’s okay, I dried quickly since we went on test track next. Dh sat next to me and he said he just got a little wet. You’ll notice wet seats when you go to sit down.

No you don’t have to be in that park to get a FP. If I’ve used three at mk, I can look on my phone for a new FP at a different park.
