Hi - I'm a little unclear on the new tickets. I'm taking my 15 yo cousin to Disney in August. I have booked our package with non-expiring hoppers. I wasn't sure if we would use all of the days but wasn't concerned about having extra since I'm planning another trip for next year already. I now realize the tickets are tied to the person and do not want leftover days on my cousins ticket since she will not be with returning any time in the near future.
I want to upgrade my pass to a 10 day which I read I can do at check-in. To get my budget together, do I lose the advance purchase discount that way? So it would be the difference between what I paid for my ticket in our package and the 10 day non-expiring hopper gate price?
Now I'm thinking of starting us off with 5 day expiring hopper passes (since we both have to have the same tickets on the package). If we chose to spend more days at the parks, could I add a day or two on later during our trip? Is there a cutoff of when I can do it? (How many of the 5 days must be left on the ticket?) Would the price just be the difference between a 5 day and 6 day pass (again losing the advance purchase discount)?
Thanks so much for any help! These new tickets are a great deal but confusing with there being so many options.
