Please help me understand Ohana and 1900 PF Themes

Hiya Guys.

I have Breakfast ADR's for both Ohana and 1900 PF, but having just read a number of posts I am now confused as to whether we should have booked Lunch or Dinner ADR.

I was of the understanding that Ohana was full of fun abit like Whispering Canyon with Character interaction and we booked 1900 PF for the famous Strawberry soup, don't fancy it myself but I'll give anything a try once.

Ohana breakfast is a character meal featuring Lilo and Stitch. I don't know if it's a typical character meal with the characters visiting the tables but I think it is.

Dinner has no Disney characters but does feature some pseudo-Polynesian entertainment - coconut races and limbo for the kids, "hula lessons," etc. 'Ohana does not serve lunch.

I ate at O'Hana's for breakfast and Dinner and both were very good. The characters are interactive during breakfast..Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch. The breakfast and dinner are both family style. The dinner did not have characters but the polynesian staff did games/dancing with the kids..I thought it was cute but my kids thought it was lame (meaning they thought it was just for very young kids) My kids are 10, 7 and 6 and they would not participate because every kid on the konga line was 3 and under..it might have just been when we were there..who knows ...so from a kids point of view they liked breakfast better...O'hana's, in my opinion, is NOTHING like Whispering Canyon. WC is fun because the staff play some pranks on the guests but it is not family style restaurant and they do not have characters.

We are trying 1900 Park for dinner when we return to WDW in August and from what I read they have wonderful character interaction for B, L and D.

We only did Ohanas for dinner but did 1900 PF for breakfast and dinner. 1900PF breakfast is a buffet meal, with an ok choice (food definitely better at breakfast than dinner they do a lovely apple smoked bacon). Characters at breakfast in November were Pooh, Tigger, Mad Hatter, Alice in Wonderland and Mary Poppins. We were staying at the GF and did this breakfast twice with the same characters each time. Would return for breakfast however would not return for dinner to 1900 PF unless I only went for entertainment and first ate elsewhere!

The entertainment was amazing, Cinderella, Prince Charming, the stepmother and stepsisters. Cinderella and Prince Charming do a waltz every 30 minutes and the stepmother and stepsisters were an absolute hoot.
