Please Help me understand - B-day cakes on DDP??

OK i read the great thread with all the #'s to order cakes etc and what they look like. This is my question - i'm on the ddp - its my husbands 40th b-day celebration if i surprise him by ordering a cake, does the ddp cover the charges then he just can't order dessert on the menu? OR do i pay additional for the cake?

I ordered dd a cake for her birthday and i will have to pay oop for her cake.

It was a special order cake from the wcc for $20.00 plus tax and tip hope this helps
