Please help me think this through....

I'm hoping for a pin code for next Fall. I've received one the last two years so let's just say, for argument's sake, that I'm going to get another one.

My last two have been 40% and 30% off the deluxes. I want to stay WL CL so I'm hoping for at least 30%. But, I think I'd like to start the trip off with 1 or 2 nights at AoA then go to the WL. My understanding is that when you do a split stay the first resort is your package (2 nights at AoA with 7 day tickets) then your second resort is resort-only. Is that correct?

If that's the case would I be able to use a pin for the WL? Because it would be resort only and not a package.

Unless you are planning to get the DDP for part of your stay, you could book room only for both stays and buy your tickets separately. But if you are wanting to book a room + tickets for ease of having everything done together, then yes, you would book a package for the first 2 nights with enough ticket days to cover the trip and then room only for the remaining nights. For the pin, you could still use that (pending availability) even if you book a package. The discount would apply to the room portion only, but could still be applied (again, pending availability at the resort you want). HTH .

You're welcome.....glad I could help . Yes, room discount pins can be used on room only or packages, but with the discount being applied to just the room portion of a package and not to tickets or the DDP. I think I have seen one discount where it had to be a room only ressie and tickets/DDP could not be added, but that's pretty rare in my experience. There are certain promos like free dining where it has to be a package, but room discounts can usually be applied to either type of ressie .
