Please help me sort out how to book with a transfer between my two memberships

Ok I’m sure this is not as complicated for many of you Dis-ers than it seems to me! I have 2 memberships, Feb (AUL) and June (VGC) UYs. I am planning a trip for Jan 2019 at WDW which will require somewhere around 300 points. My Feb UY has no points left in 2018 (the UY where the trip falls) but has 91 points left in the next UY Feb 2019. My June 2018 UY has 185 banked points (that I may use up for a VGC trip in Sept 2018, but could use those banked points for my Jan 2019 WDW trip if I decide not to go in Sept), and 210 current June 2018 points. I would prefer to use up the Feb 2019 Aulani points (91), and bank as many of my June VGC points as possible for home resort priority. I know to use the 91 AUL points in my Feb 2019 UY for a trip in Jan 2019 I would need to borrow them into the previous 2018 UY. Can I transfer those 91 2019 points to my June membership and then borrow them to make the reservation? Or would I transfer enough June UY VGC points required into the Feb 2019 AUL membership and then complete the reservation, borrowing 91 Feb 2019 AUL points and using the transferred VGC points? If it is best to transfer my June VGC points into the Feb AUL membership, can I transfer banked points, or only current year points? (Meaning I would definitely have to go to VGC in Sept 2018 in order to use up my banked points?) Can I book this online or do I need to call MS to book it? My main reason for wanting to use the later Feb 2019 points up for my Jan 2019 trip with a transfer between my 2 memberships is to save more of my VGC points for future VGC trips. I know this puts the 91 borrowed AUL points at risk if I need to cancel... thanks in advance for your help!

You can’t borrow transferred points. No need to transfer.

Book part of your vacation on the AUL membership and the rest of the trip on the other membership and then ask MS to link the two reservations.

I do that all the time and never transfer points between memberships.

Thanks! I did this on a recent VGC trip and though the reservations were linked and I didn’t have to change rooms, we had trouble with the room keys not working between the two reservations and had to spend time getting the keys fixed which was a mild annoyance. Also housekeeping didn’t do trash and towel service on day 4 because of the two separate reservations. Just a couple of little things that made me think a transfer might be more seamless. Maybe these issues don’t happen in WDW resorts though?
