Hello ~ My dd15 was born very ill and made her "Wish" trip request to visit the set of CSI NY and a week in Hollywood.

We are going in two weeks.

I've been doing some reading, but I thought I'd ask you all, since I get the best advice from these boards.

dd15 really wants to do a touristy Hollywood tour. So after reading them all, she picked a one-hour trolley tour by Starline. She doesn't need a long time, just a tour to say she's done it.

Mostly we will self-tour.

She wants to see;

1. Hollywood Sign
2. Chinese Theater
3. Walk of Fame
4. Star Spotting
5. Tar pits
6. Rodeo Drive
7. Beverley Hills [driving around]

Can these sites be done in one day?

Where is the best place to see stars?

Thanks everyone! Blessings, Sandra :wizard:

A good option for you might be the hop on ,hop off bus. You can get a 24 or a 48 hour ticket, if you STAY on the bus for the entire trip you get a good overview of all the sites you mentioned. You can get off at any one of 14 different stops, for instance hop off at the Beverly Centre, shop for awhile then hop back on the bus ( when it finally comes lol) and hop off again at the "Tar pit"
Everything you mentioned can be easily done in one day.

As for star spotting it is hit and miss, you might want to try shopping at the Grove, quite a good celebrity "hit rate" there :D

I agree that you should add The Grove to your list of places to go (if only to say that you've been...eat at The Farm while you're there, good food and it's popular with celebs).

Hands down, the best studio tour is Warner Brothers, which is located in Burbank.

A couple of other places to go (if you have the time) are Robertson Blvd. (home of such notable places as The Ivy and Kitson) and Urth Cafe on Melrose (I once saw Diana Ross in there a few years back and it's been shown on Entourage multiple times).
