I just have one day in Florida (found cheap air) so I want to make the most of it! I've been to USF/IOA before so the most important on my "to do" list are Harry Potter and the Mummy ride. I have been reading a little but I want o I have been trying not to give too much away to myself. Can someone give me an example itinerary of the best way to experience this? We are not staying onsite but will be buying Express Passes. We're coming on Saturday, November 4 so I'm thinking crowds will be light then? We won't have any kids with us. Thanks in advance for any help!

some of the trip reports in the other forum gives information on how others spent their days at universal.
hth!

nov 4 should be a light day.
don't worry about crowds.

Gee, I don't even know if you will need express passes during that time of year. I would wait and see....you can still buy them there if you think it is that busy. Go early and that will be better than an express pass.

Plus, if you are by yourself, then make use of the single rider lines. Some are not marked, but you can always ask. My DH and I always use the single rider lines for the Mummy so we hardly ever wait. We also enjoy the single rider on MIB for a short wait.

Head straight back to the Wizarding World first thing since that's your main priority and take your time enjoying the area. Forbidden Journey is a must since that's the only really new ride built for the area. Dragon Challenge and Flight of the Hippogriff have some fun things in the queue but if you've been before, you're familiar with those coasters already (previously Flying Unicorn and Dueling Dragons) and will know whether they're at the top of your to-do list.

Definitely eat at least one meal at the Three Broomsticks and grab some butterbeer and pumpkin juice for the full experience. Take you time working your way through the shops (and visit the restrooms in the Wizarding World!). Once you've had your fill of the Wizarding World, I'd say work your way over to the Mummy to end your day. Crowds should be pretty light that time of the season so you may not need the express pass.

Don't forget that you can also use the single rider line at Forbidden Journey. Since you can't see the people riding with you, it saves so much time waiting in line! I was able to ride FJ many, many times this way. :thumbsup2

Also, buy some peppermint toads at Honeydukes, very tasty!

I don't think that you will need express passes and I would wait on them if I was you. The best thing you can do when going to any park is to get there early. Most people on vacation don't want to go early and get there at 11:00. If you have been there since opening you can go back to the hotel and that time if so desired for a rest and come back in the evening when some are leaving.
