Please help me pick a resort!

I seriously cant make a decision on this!My DD age 11 and I will be going to Disney for 11 days in June,our 1st trip!I have 8 days booked at all star movie resort then here is the tricky part where to stay the last 2 days deluxe.I am down to 2 resorts Wilderness lodge and Contemporary Resort.I love them both!Here is where I am coming from Wilderness lodge seems like a great place to wind down after 8 days running around Disney!However Contemporary is so close to the action,see the fireworks from resort and could ride the monorail to see the parks for the last time!My dad will also be joining us for the last 5 days of the trip and thought it would be fun to stay somewhere nicer with my him.(My DH is staying home for this trip he is not into disney)Any experiences you could share would be great!Also how well can you see the fireworks from the beach at the wilderness lodge?Also let me just say that the 2 resorts are the same price.How exhausted do you think I will be by day 8 (LOL)!

I suggest you go over to the resorts board and look around there. You will find many threads on WL and CR.

I have not stayed at WL, but have stayed at CR. We love the location, the views, the restaurants all in one building, etc. The one drawback for us is the "go,go,go" atmosphere of the place. So, if you are looking for a place to unwind toward the end of the trip I might go for WL.

Since you are planning on deluxe dining for these days, I would try to decide based upon your reservations. I think The Wilderness Lodge seems more relaxing, and you can take a boat to the Contemporary to ride the monorail, but you can walk from the contemporary to Magic Kingdom! Hard choice!
